El jueves, la División de Tecnología y Logística del Cuerpo Médico presentará oficialmente su nuevo centro de servicios de salud mental.
Este lugar integrará el centro familiar para el servicio militar de carrera y la unidad de respuesta de combate, incluyendo una clínica especializada en el tratamiento de trastornos postraumáticos dirigida a militares activos, y la unidad “Liat”, conformada por terapeutas civiles de élite.
El objetivo es ofrecer servicios accesibles y de calidad a los soldados durante sus primeros y segundos años de servicio permanente.
Desde el inicio de la guerra, la unidad de salud mental del Cuerpo Médico ha activado una red de profesionales de la salud mental distribuidos por todos los sectores, enfocándose en proporcionar la mejor atención a las tropas en necesidad de apoyo psicológico.
A lo largo de la guerra, numerosos militares han sido desplegados en la Franja de Gaza siguiendo órdenes superiores para asistir a soldados que enfrentaron situaciones complejas en combate. Este esfuerzo ha permitido que cerca del 85% de los combatientes que recibieron atención psicológica pudieran reintegrarse a sus actividades militares.
Además, se estableció un servicio telefónico de asistencia psicológica disponible las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, integrado a la unidad de medicina de urgencias.
El general de división Michel Yanko, líder de la División de Tecnología y Logística, expresó: “Nuestra división ha comenzado a mejorar los servicios de atención a todos los miembros de las FDI. Parte de este esfuerzo incluye la creación del centro de salud mental, reconociendo el impacto de la guerra en la psique y los desafíos que esto conlleva”.
“La fundación de este centro y la inversión realizada reflejan el compromiso en expansión de la División de Tecnología y Logística y el Cuerpo Médico hacia el bienestar psicológico de los soldados regulares y de reserva de las FDI”, continuó.
El Teniente Coronel Prof. Elon Glazberg, Jefe Médico, añadió: “La salud mental ha sido una prioridad desde el comienzo de la guerra, atendiendo necesidades desde el campo de batalla hasta el frente interno».
«Dada la importancia de este tema, hemos decidido enfocarnos intensamente en la salud mental como uno de nuestros principales ejes de atención en estos tiempos, y estamos en proceso de expandir nuestra respuesta existente. La inauguración del centro es una excelente noticia para los oficiales de las FDI”, concluyó.
