La quinta temporada de la exitosa serie israelí, Fauda, comenzará a grabarse a fines de abril de este año.
Actualmente en preproducción, la quinta temporada de Fauda se desarrollará en Israel, así como en el extranjero, donde el equipo de agentes encubiertos israelíes asumirá una misión privada.

El desarrollo de la quinta temporada se retrasó a raíz del ataque del 7 de octubre por parte de Hamás y la consiguiente guerra en Gaza. Los trágicos acontecimientos también afectaron a la producción de Fauda, ya que uno de sus miembros clave, Matan Meir, murió en un túnel con trampa explosiva en el norte de Gaza mientras servía en las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel. Además, uno de los miembros del reparto, Idan Amedi, también resultó gravemente herido en una explosión. Como resultado, esta temporada tuvo que ser reescrita.
La serie recibió amplios elogios por sus actuaciones auténticas y sus historias crudas y creíbles, ganando el premio a mejor serie, guion, director y actor en los Premios de la Academia de Televisión Israelí.
