El primer ministro de Israel, Benjamín Netanyahu, afirmó que Israel sabe cuál es la ubicación de los secuestrados en Gaza.
Según Ruhama, madre del rehén Elkana Bohbot, Netanyahu le dijo “con plena confianza” que Israel conoce el paradero de los cautivos por Hamás.
Bohbot le expresó a la Radio del Ejército que el primer ministro declaró que las FDI se mantienen alejadas de esas áreas para no poner en peligro a los secuestrados.

A fines del mes pasado, Hamás publicó una señal de vida de Elkana a través de un perturbador video de propaganda.
Bohbot aparece rogando por su liberación, implorando desesperadamente al gobierno que lo devuelva a casa desde su cautiverio en Gaza, donde está retenido desde el 7 de octubre de 2023.

La semana pasada, Netanyahu mantuvo una reunión con familiares de Bohbot.
Según comentó la Oficina del Primer Ministro, les informó sobre las conversaciones para lograr la liberación de los cautivos.
Además, indicó que Netanyahu «reitera su compromiso de lograr todos los objetivos de la guerra: devolver a todos nuestros rehenes, eliminar a Hamás y garantizar que Gaza ya no represente una amenaza para Israel».
