Causó alarma la explosión de un auto a pocos metros de la sala velatoria de la AMIA

Habían pasado pocos minutos de las 6.30 de la mañana cuando una tremenda explosión sobresaltó a los vecinos de Villa Crespo y a quienes circulaban por la zona de la calle Loyola y la avenida Juan B. Justo en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

La sorpresa y el temor sobre la causa de la detonación generó pánico: a pocos metros del lugar del estallido se encuentra la sala velatoria de la Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA)

A primera instancia lo que sucedió fue que un auto -marca Volkswagen- se incendió, las llamas alcanzaron el tanque de GNC y se produjo un estallido; en minutos, el fuego consumió el vehículo.

Personal de la Estación VI de Bomberos de la Ciudad constató el episodio y registró que varios inmuebles de la zona resultaron dañados por el hecho; entre ellos, el albergue transitorio «Solos» que vio afectada su fachada hasta el 4° piso.

Lo que se investiga es si el auto explotó porque un desperfecto generó el incendio y afectó el cilindro del tubo almacenador de GNC, o si fué provocado intencionalmente.
