Dos esvásticas fueron pintadas en un monumento que marca las fosas comunes de 2,000 judíos de Otwock, en el centro de Polonia.

El monumento consta de una piedra con una placa en hebreo y polaco. Conmemora a los judíos ejecutados allí por los alemanes en agosto y septiembre de 1942.
Después de que los policías terminaron de reunir pruebas en el monumento, un sacerdote local, Bogdan Sankowski, junto con el propietario de la funeraria local, Sławomir Moc, y su empleada, Marian Czarnecki, limpiaron el monumento y retiraron las esvásticas pintadas.
El gueto en Otwock se estableció en el otoño de 1940. Unos 12,000 judíos pasaron por él. En agosto y septiembre de 1942, 7,000 residentes judíos del gueto fueron llevados al campo de exterminio de Treblinka.
El monumento en el sitio de fosas comunes en Otwock se construyó en 1949. El Comité para el Recuerdo de los judíos de Otwock y Karczew, y el Consejo para la Protección de los Sitios de Lucha y Martirio, colocaron una nueva placa en el monumento en 2012.
