Hoy se cumplió un año del Violento ataque antisemita al Gran Rabino de la AMIA Gabriel Davidovich, quien fue golpeado y atacado salvajemente por un grupo de desconocidos que entraron en su vivienda, ubicada en el barrio de Once. En una carta abierta a la comunidad, Davidovich se refiere a «dejar atrás los malos recuerdos» y a la vez agradece «la segunda oportunidad que Dios me brindó para seguir viviendo rodeado de mis seres queridos». Pide el esclarecimiento del suceso ya que considera que no fue un simple hecho delictivo»
«Hoy se cumple un año del brutal ataque que sufrimos mi esposa y yo en nuestro hogar. Deseo compartirles algunas sensaciones y pensamientos que nos atraviesan.
Por un lado, aspiramos a dejar atrás los malos recuerdos, la angustia y la impotencia que sentimos cuando intrusos ingresaron violentamente a nuestra casa en medio de la noche. Asimismo, tenemos la necesidad de que se esclarezca en forma cabal esta tremenda agresión y sus motivos reales, en la comprensión de que no fue «un simple hecho delictivo».
Sin embargo, y por sobre todas las cosas, me embarga una gran felicidad por la segunda oportunidad que Dios me brindó para seguir viviendo rodeado de mis seres queridos. Estar sano, poder trabajar y continuar en mis funciones para ayudar a la gente de nuestra comunidad desde mi lugar en el Rabinato de AMIA. ¡Alabado sea el Todopoderoso!
Agradezco a todas las autoridades religiosas y gubernamentales. A cada una de las personas de mi país y del mundo que se solidarizaron, nos acompañaron y rezaron por mi esposa y por mí, en momentos tan difíciles. No dimensionan el bien que nos hicieron. Agradezco también, desde lo más profundo de mi alma, a nuestros hijos y amigos que fueron, literalmente, nuestro sostén.
