En oposición a esas restricciones, en Tel Aviv muchos aprovecharon el clima caluroso para extender sus toallas en la arena y broncearse. “No molesto a nadie, estoy relativamente sola y al aire libre, estas pautas no tienen lógica”, contó Ayelet Kadosh, acostada con un libro en uno de los balnearios municipales.
Yael y Avivit, dos amigas del sur de la ciudad, decidieron bajar a un balneario de Jaffa para encontrarse después de dos meses sin verse. “Es hora de permitir que todos salgan y hagan lo que quieran, siempre que mantengan la distancia social y utilicen máscaras”, afirmó Avivit. “Nos dolió el encierro y nos rompió el bolsillo, esto es lo único que todavía podemos hacer”, agregó Avivit.
La policía y los inspectores del área de Tel Aviv que patrullan el paseo costero instan a las personas a que se cubran la cara con máscaras, aunque por el momento no evacuó balnearios ni penalizó a los infractores.
Unos kilómetros más al sur, en las playas de Rishon LeTzion, las autoridades sí labraron algunas multas a quienes violaban la ley. “Obedezca las instrucciones, no se reúnan en la playa, la temporada de baño no comenzó y es peligroso ingresar al agua porque no hay servicios de guardavidas”, exigieron al público desde el municipio y advirtieron que los controles continuarán durante el sábado.
En el norte del país, autoridades del área del Mar de Galilea informaron que “cientos de familias habían sido evacuadas de la playa por personal policial” por bañarse en ausencia de bañeros, quienes comenzarán a ejercer sus funciones en junio tal como estableció el Ministerio de Salud.
Moti Cohen, director general del Ministerio del Interior, recordó a la ciudadanía que “está prohibido permanecer en la playa salvo para fines deportivos” y advirtió que ingresar al agua “es un verdadero peligro debido a que no hay servicios de rescate”.
“Estas disposiciones rigen para todo el país, pero las aglomeraciones se produjeron de manera mucho más notable en las costas del Mar de Galilea y se intensificarán los controles”, agregó Cohen.
