En el marco de Iom Ierushalaim, que se celebra hoy, el Gran Rabino Asquenazí de Israel David Baruch Lau envió, a través de AMIA, un saludo a la comunidad judía que reside en Argentina.

La fecha conmemora la recuperación del acceso al Muro de los Lamentos, el lugar más sagrado para el judaísmo, tras la lucha del pueblo de Israel en la Guerra de los Seis Días (1967).


“Nos encontramos en un día particular, un día en el que el Santo, Bendito Sea, nos otorgó el mérito de acercarnos un poco más al lugar elegido por Él. Allí nos fueron concedidos grandes milagros”, expresó el Gran Rabino Lau en su mensaje.

“Podemos hoy levantarnos y mirar nuevamente a Jerusalem y su Urbe. Y, siendo meritorios de aproximarnos al Muro de los Lamentos, lugar nunca abandonado por la Presencia Divina. Rezamos con gratitud al Creador por el pasado y con esperanza para el futuro”, aseguró.
