Finaliza un año inesperado, un año en el que de todo lo deseado aquel ya lejano 31 de diciembre de 2019 solo quedó la palabra «¡salud!».
Un año en el que tuvimos que utilizar palabras que no estaban en nuestro vocabulario habitual. Coronavirus, pandemia, cuarentena, protocolos, barbijos, tapabocas, alcohol en gel, distanciamiento social, Zoom, esenciales y presenciales, entre otras, fueron parte de nuestra vida diaria.
Algunas otras se mantuvieron, como antisemitismo, judeofobia o antisionismo. Este virus inoculado en el cerebro de algunos no tiene vacuna.
La comunidad judía, como el resto de la sociedad, tuvo que adaptarse. Y lo hizo, en una amplia mayoría, de la mejor manera.
La vida en Zoom pasó a ser algo cotidiano. Reuniones, encuentros, eventos, celebraciones, festejos, aniversarios y homenajes se hicieron en forma virtual. En el primer trimestre de la cuarentena casi que no hubo otro medio de comunicación que no sea el de la pantalla.
Asimismo, la solidaridad fue fundamental. La acción social de las organizaciones. El acompañamiento a quienes perdieron un ser querido.

Los templos también se adaptaron y brindaron los servicios de manera virtual. Más allá de que en el segundo semestre hubo relajamiento (como en el resto de la sociedad), y hubo más encuentros presenciales, el “respeto” por este virus sigue latente.
Desde Vis á Vis queremos agradecer el enorme acompañamiento de todos. Hemos crecido y nos sentimos orgullosos del lugar que ocupamos, no sólo en Argentina sino en todo el mundo, como uno de los medios comunitarios más leídos.
Saludamos muy fuertemente a aquellos que perdieron un ser querido este año. Los abrazamos de todas las maneras posibles.
Celebramos los acuerdos de Israel con parte del mundo árabe y que sean el comienzo de muchos más.
Deseamos que en el 2021 cambiemos las palabras que usamos este año. Que el virus que se propague sea de amor, solidaridad y prosperidad. Que el distanciamiento se convierta en acercamiento. También que lo virtual se convierta en presencial. Que el año inesperado se transforme en el que esperamos. Destapar el tapabocas y que a las 12 de la noche de este 31, todos juntos y bien fuerte, gritemos ¡SALUD!
