En hebreo la palabra “mentira” y “borrachera” suenan igual (sheker), aunque se escriben de forma diferente.

Sea cual sea el idioma que hablemos, las falsedades repetidas hasta el hartazgo desarrollan en nosotros un estado de “alteración mental”. Similar al mecanismo de adicción a las drogas, que acaba interpretándose como lo contrario.

Son las popularmente conocidas como “verdades como puños”, los axiomas de fe del mundo contemporáneo.

Algunos ejemplos: la ocupación israelí de Gaza (de la que se ha “desconectado” hace 13 años). El “genocidio” palestino (con cifras de muertes inferiores a las que producen los accidentes de tráfico). El “lobby” pro-israelí en EEUU (de hecho, mucho menos poderoso que el de las petroleras árabes). O la proverbial riqueza de los judíos (cuando el más rico sólo llega al 7ª lugar, incluso después del español Amancio Ortega).

Desde la patraña más medieval al bulo más moderno; las mentiras sobre los judíos y su reencarnación israelí siguen vivas y con más “puños” que nunca.

Pese a que nosotros mismos queramos convencernos de lo contrario a base de repetirnos un “mantra” (¡qué parecida la escritura de esta palabra a mentira, en español!) tranquilizador.

La “puñetera” (disculpen lo malsonante de esta expresión) fijación de la mentira es tal, que incluso los desmentidos, las demostraciones fehacientes, las pruebas irrefutables se convierten -por arte de la adicción a los dogmas ideológicos- en certezas de conspiraciones ocultas.

Por ejemplo, si se demuestra que la televisión francesa hizo un perverso montaje del asesinato de un niño palestino al inicio de la Segunda Intifada (que se convirtió en icono justificativo de cualquier acción violenta contra los israelíes), y vemos con nuestros propios ojos cómo el niño asesinado se levanta sonriente al final de la secuencia (una parte que obviamente no se emitió en ninguna cadena) la “verdad como puño” se convierte en puñetazo de indignación ante la “evidente” manipulación de las imágenes por parte de los servicios secretos israelíes.

Muchos critican que Israel ha perdido la “guerra mediática” y lo achacan a su desidia y desinterés por justificarse ante el mundo.

No es arrogancia sino más bien impotencia de combatir las mentiras arraigadas sin usar las mismas armas.

Cuentan que un famoso rabino, el Maharal de Praga, desesperado por los continuos ataques a la comunidad judía de la ciudad en el siglo XVI, usó sus conocimientos místicos para dar vida a un ser de barro que los defendiera y al que consiguió insuflar vida escribiendo en su frente la palabra “emet”, verdad.

Esa es y ha sido siempre nuestra única arma, nuestro “puño”. La historia del Gólem, que así se llamaba el engendro, termina cuando el rabino destruye su creación ante la promesa de parar la violencia contra los judíos.

En lugar de la expresión “verdades como puños” y como tantas veces ha pasado, también en aquella ocasión acabó siendo una mentira, y los puños antisemitas siguieron hasta ahora.
