Hoy 27 de enero, el mundo conmemora oficialmente los seis millones de hombres, mujeres y niños judíos que fueron asesinados brutalmente por los nazis y sus colaboradores en el Holocausto

Recordamos el mas oscuro capítulo en la historia de la humanidad, cuándo un país europeo decidió adoptar una política y un programa para exterminar hasta el último judío, movilizando todo el poder de un Estado industrial moderno y desarrollado para implementar está increíble pesadilla.
El asesinato en masa del pueblo judío no se produjo en un vacío.
Durante siglos el antisemitismo había estado presente en toda Europa.
Sin respuesta, creció, se infectó y luego explotó.
Este, el más antiguo de los odios, tenía una longevidad incuestionable.

En el siglo XXI la enfermedad del antisemitismo continúa contaminado y propagándose.
Podemos encontrarlo vivo, coleando y pernicioso en los campus universitarios de América del Norte, en las ‘madrasas’ del sur de Asia, entre las élites europeas.
El antisemitismo existe tanto en el próspero Occidente como en el Oriente en vías de desarrollo.
Es la política oficial del gobierno de la República Islámica de Irán, que con descaro y orgullo afirma día tras día: nuestro objetivo es asesinar a otros seis millones de judíos, erradicar el Estado Judío de Israel.
Aún no se ha encontrado una vacuna para protegerse contra el virus del antisemitismo. 

Se dice que hay algunas cosas que nunca cambian.
Pero les puedo decir lo que sí han cambiado
Nosotros, el pueblo judío, hemos cambiado.
Si en los tiempos del Holocausto los judíos no tenían hogar, ni país, estaban indefensos, rogando a los demás que nos protegieran, ya no.
Hoy estamos firmemente arraigados en nuestra tierra ancestral, libres y fuertes en nuestro Estado independiente.
Como Primer Ministro del país que renació tras el Holocausto, el país que proporcionó un hogar nacional a los sobrevivientes, un Estado que se levantó de las cenizas, un Estado en el que el pueblo judío recuperó su soberanía e independencia, prometo nunca olvidar el trágico pasado y nunca permitir que el pueblo judío vuelva a estar indefenso frente a las fuerzas que buscan nuestra destrucción.
 Nunca más no es un eslogan.
 Esta es nuestra política y esta es nuestra misión y siempre la llevaremos a cabo.
