En su nuevo libro, “Los científicos de Hitler”, el escritor español, Eric Frattini, analiza cómo el partido nazi presentó a la sociedad su teoría de la superioridad aria para dar sustento al genocidio. Se basa en dos mil documentos.
¿Por qué un grupo de 137 científicos alemanes regaló su alma y su prestigio cometiendo las peores atrocidades contra los judíos y todo aquel que no apoyara la causa nacionalsocialismo antes, durante y después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial?. ¿Qué llevó a los nazis a crear un organismo científico para realizar todo tipo de crímenes. Además de investigaciones que rozan con lo absurdo y así justificar que la supremacía de la raza aria derivó en el principal argumento de la “Solución Final”?. ¿A qué se debe el mito de la raza aria?. ¿Por qué los judíos, gitanos y eslavos eran clasificados como subhumanos? ¿Los alemanes aún sienten culpa por el genocidio contra los judíos? ¿Por qué la Ahnenerbe y el Partido Nazi fueron una gran mentira?
Éstos y otros temas son debatidos con argumentos en «Los científicos de Hitler» (Espasa), el flamante ensayo que el periodista español Eric Frattini escribió tras haber estado confinado durante la pandemia y acaba de publicarse en la Argentina.
El libro, de 392 páginas, contiene una poderosa documentación de la Bundesarchiv, el archivo oficial del gobierno alemán en el que el autor se basa para debatir el origen de la Anhenerbe, la Sociedad para la Investigación y Enseñanza sobre la Herencia Ancestral Alemania creada por el Partido Nazi el 1 de julio de 1935. A través de un grupo de científicos que la componían, esta institución se dedicaba a distorsionar la realidad y a respaldar la teoría del nacionalsocialismo sobre la raza germana como origen de la raza aria y la pureza de la sangre.
¿Quien es Eric Frattini?
Frattini es un periodista español que tuvo una destacada labor como corresponsal para el diario El País y la cadena SER de España en Oriente Medio. También es experto en temas vinculados al Vaticano. De hecho, vaticinó la renuncia del Papa Benedicto XVI cinco meses antes. Hace más de 20 años se dedica a escribir libros y ensayos que recorrieron el planeta. Muchos de ellos, referidos a los nazis y a la Segunda Guerra.
En diálogo con este medio, el autor desglosa Los científicos de Hitler, su ensayo número 28, echando por tierra la mentira del nacionalsocialismo, el partido nazi creado por Adolf Hitler, el genocida austríaco alemán que ocasionó la Segunda Guerra Mundial (1939-1945) y provocó la matanza de más de seis millones de judíos durante el Holocausto.
¿Cómo describe su libro?
Es un ensayo basado en muchísimos documentos que me facilitó el Bundesarchiv, el archivo oficial del gobierno alemán. Son más de 2.000 documentos sobre la Sociedad para el Estudio y la Investigación de la Herencia Ancestral Alemana, conocida como la Ahnenerbe. Fue creada el 1 de julio de 1915 por Heinrich Himmler, el Reichsführer de las SS, con la idea de agrupar a toda la ciencia, a todos los institutos científicos de Alemania para apoyar la ideología nacionalsocialista y convencer a través de la ciencia a los ciudadanos alemanes de que era necesario llevar a cabo la industrialización del asesinato.
Estos eran judíos, gitanos, eslavos, los propios alemanes o grupos de alemanes que sufrían alguna enfermedad psiquiátrica o niños que habían nacido con malformaciones. A ellos el nacionalsocialismo los catalogó como subhumanos y fueron liquidados durante diferentes etapas de la creación de la Ahnenerbe, desde 1935 hasta 1945, cuando finaliza Guerra.
¿Por qué decidió escribir este libro? ¿Qué le llamó la atención?
La historia de la Ahnenerbe se ha identificado siempre en España. Aquí hay tres libros publicados sobre la Ahnenerbe, los he leído y son bastante malos. Se centraban más en la época de la pseudociencia buscando el Santo Grial y el Arca de la Alianza. En septiembre de 1936 Hitler dio un discurso ante el Congreso del Partido en Nuremberg donde acusó abiertamente a esos científicos charlatanes que lo único que hacían era malformar la mentalidad de los jóvenes alemanes haciéndoles creer en el origen de la raza ancestral de la raza aria.
Himmler descubrió que ese discurso iba dirigido a los científicos de la Ahnenerbe, decidió transformarla y la convierte en un aparato muy peligroso, en un aparato científico para apoyar a la maquinaria bélica alemana creando verdaderos horrores. A partir de 1936, la Ahnenerbe se convirtió en algo verdaderamente temible.
En su libro sostiene que las razas humanas no existen. Sólo se trata de una cuestión de etnias y que los seres humanos venimos del homo sapiens ¿Por qué los nazis creían lo contrario?
Las creencias nazis son deformaciones raciales. Empezaron a tratar la cuestión del darwinismo social y eso lo explico en el libro.
Las teorías de Darwin en torno a las especias son con respecto a los animales cuando dicen que un león nunca se va a aparear con una cebra. Pero los nazis empezaron a degenerar esas teorías diciendo que apoyaban el origen del nacionalsocialismo, decían que un ciudadano ario jamás se mezclaría con una ciudadana judía.
¿Por qué? Porque son subhumanos entonces nunca se van a degenerar. En base a esas teorías los nazis comienzan a diseñar por científicos de la Ahnenerbe lo que fueron las leyes de Nuremberg y desde entonces empezaron a criminalizar: si eras alemán puro o ario podrías tener a tu esposa judía y no era delito hasta que llegaron los nazis. Si decías soy ario y descubrían que tenías un bisabuelo judío te criminalizaban, te retiraban la nacionalidad alemana y terminabas en un campo de concentración.
Las únicas teorías de esas investigaciones científicas era convencer al pueblo alemán que apoyaba el nacionalsocialismo para decir: ‘bueno, cierro los ojos y esto es normal porque definitivamente los judíos o los gitanos son subhumanos’.
También lo eran aquellos alemanes contaminados que tenían relaciones con judíos y por lo tanto cierro los ojos porque a mí no me importa. No es una ideología básica, son deformaciones de las leyes raciales que se establecieron en 1935 a partir de las leyes de Nuremberg.
Los nazis querían justificar la “Solución Final” a través de la ciencia ¿Por qué afirma que la Ahnenerbe fue una mentira?
La Ahnenerbe estaba formada por catedráticos de grandes universidades y por prestigiosos científicos que habían sido premiados. Había prehistoritistas, genetistas, arqueólogos famosos con trabajos publicados hasta en los Estados Unidos.
Ése es el miedo realmente que daba. Lo más criticable de todo es que por la ideología del nacionalsocialismo, este grupo de grandes científicos termina degenerando sus conocimientos y degenerando su ciencia, a la que le había, dedicado la vida, para adaptarla a la ideología del nacionalsocialismo, para que sirviera de propaganda por todas las barbaridades que cometió el nazismo en Alemania en los años ‘30 y más tarde, a partir de la Segunda Guerra Mundial en todos los países europeos que conquistó.
Ahnenerbe fue ideada por un argentino: Walther Darré. Decía que la raza aria tenía que estar ligada a la tierra natal y a la Patria. El otro ideólogo fue Herman Wirth…
Darré era argentino pero realmente era alemán. Su padre era alemán y su madre argentina. Los alemanes llaman Volksdeutsche a todo descendiente de alemanes nacido fuera de su tierra. Él era un “niño bien”, venía de una familia de mucho dinero: había estudiado en las grandes universidades de Alemania y también en el King’s College de Londres. Cuando empieza el nacionalsocialismo, decide volver con su familia a Alemania ya que su padre defendía la ideología nazi.
Darré era ingeniero agrónomo y basó sus estudios y escritos sobre la teoría Völkisch (etnia alemana): de dónde salimos como origen de la tierra, como origen de país. Sus teorías de la Patria y de la tierra y de la necesidad de una autarquía eran para que Alemania pudiera autoabastecerse en forma directa. Sus escritos llamaron la atención de los ideólogos del nacionalsocialismo y lo captaron. Tenía un alto cargo en la Ahnenerbe pero años más tarde sería el Ministro de Agricultura de Hitler.
Pero las teorías de Darré sirvieron como teorías ideológicas de base del llamado Lebensborn, el derecho que se autoproclamaban los nazis para ocupar países fronterizos donde hubiera comunidades de origen alemán. Y en base a eso, cuando ocuparon Polonia en septiembre de 1939 toda la parte occidental polaca quedó unida a Alemania porque en la frontera la mayor parte eran poblaciones polacas de origen alemán con raíces con Alemania.
Y bajo las teorías de Darré del Lebensborn los nazis decidieron la anexión de todas las zonas de los sudetes, la zona de Checoslovaquia cercana a Alemania que también tenía mucha población de origen alemán. Ese fue el comienzo, el germen para luego declarar la Segunda Guerra Mundial y empezar a ocupar países y Darré tuvo mucho que ver en esto. En el Bundesarchiv está el pasaporte argentino de Darré.
Al nacionalsocialismo lo describe como una secta que hacia culto a su líder: Adolf Hitler, el Führer, y en ese momento los alemanes vivían en un estado constante de éxtasis y emoción ¿El nacionalismo también fue una gran mentira?
Sin ninguna duda, fue una gran mentira: decían que iba a durar mil años y terminó durando 12 años y 22 días. Fue un gran teatro muy bien montado. Cuando Hitler llega al poder en muy pocos años consigue el pleno empleo, no había parados (desocupados). Ellos salen de disturbios en la calle, crisis económica, un problema de orgullo nacional tras haber perdido la Primera Guerra Mundial termina con un tipo que es un cabo que lo organiza muy bien para devolver ese orgullo a su pueblo.
Luego vino la reactivación de la economía con el pleno empleo. Entonces, en 1934-35 comienzan los grandes viajes para los trabajadores alemanes, algo fuera de lo común en ese momento para los empleados en Alemania que gozaban de tener vacaciones pagas. Se creó todo un sistema de beneficios que veía el pueblo alemán como algo que iba a devolver su orgullo nacional frente a los demás países.
Hitler decía que cuando iba a llegar al gobierno iba a dejar de pagar las indemnizaciones por la derrota en la Primera Guerra Mundial, que iba a acabar con la crisis económica y que iba a haber pleno empleo y lo cumplió en menos de tres años. Todo eso comienza a generar un escenario de la gran mentira que era el nacionalsocialismo, que comienza a degenerarse poco a poco acusando a la banca judía, a sectores judíos y al resto de países europeos que están en contra de Alemania.
Aquello hace que germine el huevo de la serpiente, y cuando se rompa ese huevo va a salir la serpiente venenosa que fue el nacionalsocialismo.
¿Entonces, qué fue en realidad el partido nazi? ¿Un partido político, religioso, militar?
Al principio era un grupo de matones de extrema derecha que se dedicaban a pegar palizas a grupos de extrema izquierda comunistas. Ese grupo termina convirtiéndose a base de los discursos incendiarios de Hitler -era muy bueno dando discursos- y ese pequeño partido comienza a absorber a otros de ideología parecida como la nacionalista alemán, y así termina siendo el partido nacionalsocialista del pueblo alemán, un gran partido con más de 18 millones de afiliados.
Fue una gran mentira, un partido que comienza no sólo con las persecuciones a los ciudadanos judíos sino también persiguiendo las religiones: a los testigos de jehová, al catolicismo y a cualquier forma del cristianismo.
Esto se debe a que la base del nacionalsocialismo acaba con las religiones y se pone a este partido como una religión más basada en el nacionalsocialismo: en vez de rezar a Jesucristo le rezaban al Führer.
Al final, el partido nazi se convierte en una secta como cualquier secta que hay en el mundo y con cierto tema religioso donde el máximo líder es el Adolf Hitler, el Führer, captando además a todo el pueblo alemán.
Entonces no fue una cuestión económica ni religiosa sino que el principal motivo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial fue por el odio racial de los nazis contra los judíos.
No. El comienzo de la Segunda Guerra fue por un tema territorial. Alemania necesitaba el pasillo de Danzig, en Polonia, para llegar hacia el norte. La ocupación en Francia en 1940 fue porque los nazis necesitaban toda la región de Alsacia-Lorena donde estaban los mayores depósitos de las minas de carbón.
Hitler necesitaba el carbón para seguir generando industria armamentística o el acero. La Guerra fue por una cuestión absolutamente territorial y luego vino la ocupación de Holanda, Noruega, Dinamarca y los Balcanes. Eso fue una cuestión de soberbia del ejército alemán y principalmente de poder por parte de Hitler para hacerse amo y señor de toda Europa.
Pero siempre apuntaron a la eliminación de los judíos tomándolos como el principal enemigo.
Los judíos fueron el principal enemigo mental para Hitler pero hasta la llegada del nacionalsocialismo los judíos alemanes eran ciudadanos que estaban totalmente absorbidos dentro de la sociedad alemana. Ellos no tenían nada que ver con los judíos de Polonia ya que eran ciudadanos totalmente metidos en la sociedad alemana y también participaban. Había profesores, médicos, dentistas, académicos, deportistas… y no vivían en guetos.
En cambio, los judíos polacos vivían en guetos, iban a colegios judíos y no se mezclaban como lo hacían los judíos alemanes con la población no judía. El judaísmo en Polonia era mucho más ortodoxo que el de Alemania.
Había muchas diferencias pero no fue por una cuestión del judaísmo: en ese momento Hitler tomó el tema de la banca controlada por los judíos -que tampoco era cierto- y así se lo vendió a los alemanes para que aceptaran la persecución de los judíos y acabaran aceptando la Solución Final y el Holocausto. Pero insisto: la Segunda Guerra Mundial no fue por una cuestión de ir contra el judaísmo. Fue por una cuestión territorial.
Sin embargo, Hitler sabía que las investigaciones de la Ahnenerbe no eran serias pero servían para difundir falsas teorías del nacionalsocialismo sobre el origen de la raza aria.
Sí. Eso fue a partir de 1936. Una de las primeras instrucciones que Hitler dio a Wolfrang Sievers (secretario general de la Ahnenerbe) era que los científicos tenían que tirar por tierra las teorías científicas que habían llevado a que esos científicos recibieran el Premio Nobel.
Desde 1905 hasta 1928, 35 alemanes recibieron el Premio Nobel de los cuales, 14 eran judíos o de origen judío. Uno de ellos fue Albert Einstein. Se dedicaron a eso por orden de Hitler pero después de 1936 se dedicaron a hacer muchas cosas: crearon las bases para el programa Aktion-T4, que fue la liquidación absoluta a través de la ciencia de todos los alemanes a los que llamaban “bocas inútiles”, aquellos alemanes que estaban recluidos en manicomios o en psiquiátricos. También a los niños con deformaciones, malformaciones en los nacimientos o con retraso mental, con problemas intelectuales, por eso había que liquidarlos antes del inicio de la Guerra.
También crearon el programa Lebensborn, una gran organización de granjas donde las mujeres alemanas arias eran inseminadas por oficiales de las SS para tener hijos uno tras otro y donarlos a la causa del Führer.
Pero la mayor degeneración de la Ahnenerbe fue cuando crearon el Instituto de Investigación Científica Militar. Los miembros son conocidos: Josef Mengele, el Dr. Claus Schilling y tantos científicos alemanes comenzaron a realizar terribles experimentos con prisioneros de los campos de exterminio.
¿Qué fue lo que más le sorprendió de su libro?
Que la gente de la ciencia, catedráticos y decanos de grandes universidades como las de Berlín, Bonn, Heidelberg o Wolfsburgo degeneraran tanto sus conocimientos siendo gente tan culta por una ideología política, y que llegaran a aceptar plenamente el exterminio de ‘subhumanos’ como los nazis llamaban a los judíos, gitanos, incluso participando en esas liquidaciones.
Muchos médicos y genetistas acabaron en Auschwitz-Birkenau realizando experimentos terribles con gemelos. Como fue el caso de Mengele o el doctor Claus Schilling u otros médicos importantes que se dedicaron en el campo de Mauthausen a inyectar fósforo a los prisioneros para ver qué efecto hacía.
Otros se dedicaban a la malaria y a enfermedades de ese tipo para ver en cuánto tiempo aguantaban. Se lo inyectaban a los gemelos y luego estudiaban cuál se moría primero y por qué causas moría uno primero cuando tenían la misma genética. Eso fue lo que me llamó la atención: cómo alguien intelectual puede llegar a aceptar esa degeneración social que fue el nacionalsocialismo.
Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Goering, Heydrich, Sievers, Bruno Beger más los doctores August Hirt, Sigmund Rascher, Eugen Fischer, Karl Gebhart Josef Mengele, Carl Clauberg, Horst Schumann… hay un genocida detrás de otro. ¿Cuál fue el más siniestro de todos?
Todos participaron y fueron tuercas de la gran maquinaria de la industrialización de asesinato como yo la llamo. Formaron parte todos, desde gente importante como Adolf Eichmann, que fue el gran arquitecto y el gran diseñador del Holocausto; o Reinhard Heydrich, ‘El carnicero de Praga’, que fue asesinado en un atentado en Praga; hasta pequeñas piezas como Mengele que sólo realizó experimentos en Birkenau; no fue jefe médico de Auschwitz sino que lo fue en Birkenau, el campo anexo en Auschwitz. Finalmente todos fueron grandes piezas de la gran maquinaria del asesinato.
Quienes pregonaban con la superioridad de la raza aria como Hitler, Himmler y Goebbels, entre otros. Precisamente, su origen y aspecto físico contrastaba con sus ideales de la pureza de la raza. Es muy cínico y contradictorio.
Eso es parte de la ideología de la imagen de la raza aria. Ya que el ario tenía que ser alto, rubio y fuerte, con todas esas esculturas de Arno Breker, uno de los grandes escultores del nacionalsocialismo. Ése era el ideal pero, claro, ninguno de ellos lo era: Hitler era austríaco, Himmler tenía malformaciones en su cuerpo, Goering era un gordo repugnante y Goebbels era cojo. Todo eso fue parte de la ideología que les metieron a los alemanes.
¿Le sorprende que en la Ahnenerbe habían varios médicos, arqueólogos y académicos, tenían cierta formación y prestigio pero cometieron las peores atrocidades contra los seres humanos y más adelante justificaron sus hechos a través de la victimización y de la negación del Holocausto?
Mi libro es una crítica a esa intelectualidad alemana que todavía no ha hecho examen de conciencia. En 1991-92, cuando la famosísima Universidad de Heidelberg que dio grandes filósofos y estudiosos, pidió disculpas por su papel jugado durante los años del nacionalsocialismo.
Los intelectuales alemanes no hicieron examen de conciencia. Ellos dicen: nosotros siempre somos intelectuales y los que realmente llevaron a cabo todas esas barbaridades fueron los nazis. Pero tu nombre estaba adentro de todo el cuerpo académico que aprobó la normativa para expulsar a todos aquellos profesores, catedráticos y decanos que no estaban de acuerdo con el nacionalsocialismo.
Y tú fuiste uno de los firmantes del acuerdo para que toda esa gente fuera expulsada de todas las cátedras en las universidades entonces también fuiste cómplice. Digamos que eso es una acusación. Cuando comenzó la Anhenerbe los intelectuales fueron los que le dieron alas al nacionalsocialismo para hacer las grandes salvajadas que luego hizo la Ahnenerbe.

Después de 76 años del fin de la Segunda Guerra, ¿usted cree que Alemania y la sociedad alemana todavía están en deuda con la humanidad?
Económicamente, durante el gobierno de Angela Merkel pagaron el último dinero por compensaciones de guerra. Las sociedades actuales europeas ven que Alemania es otra cosa que nada tiene que ver con eso. De todas maneras, creo que el pueblo alemán seguirá viviendo las próximas generaciones con el anatema de haber sido el nido del partido nacionalsocialista. Del nacionalsocialismo y del nazismo.
Creo que eso seguirá carcomiendo a la propia sociedad alemana durante muchísimos siglos. Setenta y seis años en una era es muy poco tiempo, todavía hay gente de esa época que aún vive. Creo que tienen que pasar otros 100 ó 200 años para que la sociedad alemana se cure de todo esto.
¿Si los nazis hubieran ganado la Guerra, como hubiera imaginado la vida en el Siglo XXI?
¡Qué horror! Hay una novela muy famosa e interesante que se llama Patria que habla de esta posibilidad: Alemania ha ganado la Guerra y Hitler es un hombre muy anciano que reside en Alemania.
A las poblaciones europeas se les escondieron los campos de concentración y todo el exterminio de personas. Su nombre original es Fatherland, fue publicada por el periodista y escritor británico Robert Harris (1992). Te muestra el mundo como hubiera sido si Alemania hubiese ganado la Guerra, pero gracias a Dios ganaron los aliados.
¿Cómo hizo para detallar las atrocidades cometidas por los nazis y mantenerse frio en el relato? ¿Qué le ha generado todo esto?
Cuando terminé el libro comencé a pensar que tenemos que estar atentos, a estar vigilantes todos. La prensa, el aparato de la adjudicatura y también la propia sociedad para que estas cosas no vuelvan a suceder. Era toda gente de mierda y unos incultos como Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels. Ellos consiguieron convencer y lavar el cerebro a millones de personas. Incluyendo a toda la intelectualidad de entonces: periodistas, judicatura, abogados, arquitectos, científicos.
La moraleja de mi libro es que hay que tener muchísimo cuidado porque eso puede volver a suceder. Estar vigilantes de que esos gobiernos repugnantes no consigan manipular de tal forma a la gente inculta y acabemos en una situación complicada. Hay que luchar, protestar y patalear contra esto. ¡Hay que ir a votar! No hay que decir que este gobierno son unos hijos de puta si te vas a jugar al golf y no vas a votar. Entonces te jodes. Aunque votes en blanco, es una forma de protesta, pero andá a votar igual.

– O padre antes de ser mediador tem de quebrar as ligações individuais e
privadas com Deus.
– O padre ganhou poder, as pessoas perderam amor e vida e encheu-se de
sentimentos de culpa.
– Deus não nos enviou para um mundo sem chaves.
– O ego tem de ser reconhecido insistindo em estados de fusão com a
existência.
– Em momentos de grande perigo o ego desaparece por sua conta.
– Sempre que o perigo se acerca a mente pára.
– A mente só funciona quando não existe perigo. O perigo torna-nos
espontâneos.
– Mas as pessoas são diferentes, e este fenómeno pode acontecer noutras
circunstâncias que não situações de perigo (p.e. apreciar a beleza da
Natureza)
– Graças a estes momentos a religião ainda não morreu.

– As máscaras são tantas e mudam tão rapidamente que acabamos por
perder a confiança em nós mesmos.
– Não sabemos qual a nossa verdadeira face, porque nenhuma é
verdadeiramente nossa.
– Nascemos como Buda e vivemos uma mentira.
– As máscaras foram impostas por outrens, nem sequer perguntaram ou
pediram opinião. Foi imposta violentamente e à força.
– O mundo não nos é exterior. Nós somos o mundo. Onde formos,
continuaremos a ser quem somos.
