Decenas de conjuntos de las Cuatro Especies se trasladaron a los judíos que viven en países árabes como Siria e Irak para celebrar Sucot.

La organización Yad L’Achim se encargó de organizar los envíos del etrog, lulav, mirto y sauce en una operación secreta.

Amir, funcionario de Yad L’Achim responsable de supervisar las operaciones, explicó que las Cuatro Especies estaban en tránsito hacia “varios países”.

En los últimos años, la organización trabajó para acercar a los judíos que viven en países árabes y a los judíos de habla árabe en otras partes del mundo. Como parte de las iniciativas por Sucot, además del envío de las Especies a Siria e Irak, se reclutaron a actores que hablan árabe para que ayuden a realizar un video titulado “¿Cómo se construye una sucá?”. Se espera que el mismo llegue a los judíos de habla árabe y haga que la fiesta sea más accesible para ellos.

“Hay docenas de vídeos de divulgación judía en el horizonte”, prometió Yad L’Achim. Además, dijo: “Nos emociona cada vez que descubrimos el fuerte deseo entre los judíos que nos llegan desde lugares que nunca imaginamos”.
