El incidente ocurrió alrededor de las 10:30 pm en Montgomery Street cerca de Albany Avenue, cuando una bala fue disparada desde una camioneta que pasaba y golpeó a la víctima mientras caminaba por la calle.
La víctima recibió un disparo en la cabeza y en la pierna.
Hatzalah lo transportó al hospital donde está siendo tratado por sus heridas.
Según los informes, el sospechoso disparó el arma desde un vehículo que pasaba y el perdigón rozó el rostro de la víctima. No se intercambiaron palabras antes del tiroteo.

Crown Heights Shomrim y la policía de Nueva York llegaron a la escena en segundos, pero el sospechoso ya había huido en su vehículo.
Shomrim está ayudando a la policía de Nueva York recopilando todas las imágenes de las cámaras de seguridad cercanas.
La víctima fue trasladada al hospital metodista en condición estable.
El NYPD Hate Crimes está investigando el incidente como un posible crimen de prejuicio.
Chanina Sperlin de la CHJCC se puso en contacto con el inspector Joe Hayward, oficial al mando de la comisaría 71, sobre el incidente.
