Y hubo un nuevo acto de profanación de nuestro cementerio en La Tablada.
No es la primera vez que ocurre. De allí nuestra consternación por la indiferencia y la consecuente falta de respuesta de las autoridades municipales y provinciales.
Más aun, la justicia jamás encontró a los autores de los actos de vandalismo anteriores. Tampoco tomó las medidas de protección necesarias para evitar que estos actos se repitieran.
Hace pocos días, a raíz de las obras de mejoramiento del cementerio, que actualmente se están llevando a cabo, AMIA había solicitado a las autoridades municipales que se reforzara la seguridad. Requerimiento que, obviamente, no fue satisfecho.
Las reiteradas profanaciones de un lugar sagrado, que además es un símbolo de la continuidad histórica de la comunidad judía en Argentina, nos llena de congoja. También nos lleva a preguntarnos acerca de las causas de la insensibilidad de las autoridades que deberían dar respuestas contundentes. Para que estos actos de vandalismo, de una vez por todas, se terminen.

El Cementerio Israelita de La Tablada es un predio enorme de 56 hectáreas. Por ello, a pesar de los grandes esfuerzos que los dirigentes y voluntarios vienen realizando con denodado trabajo desde hace mucho tiempo, es imposible asegurar completamente la seguridad sin el compromiso de las autoridades municipales y provinciales.
Es por esto que nos ha sorprendido ver que la agrupación política comunitaria “Una Amia”, en lugar de expresar su solidaridad con la institución de la forman parte, aprovechara la oportunidad para ejercitar, en un artero acto de oportunismo político, un ataque contra la actual conducción de AMIA y el BUR que no hace otra cosa que demostrar la mezquindad de sus intenciones y su falta de empatía con el judaísmo argentino en este momento de tristeza y angustia.
Sin lugar a dudas han puesto en evidencia que carecen de la grandeza necesaria para entender que, en circunstancias que exigen unidad y solidaridad, es un acto desleal e indigno intentar obtener rédito político a expensas de una tragedia que debería hermanarnos en el reclamo de soluciones y justicia.
