El filme, dirigido por Mor Loushy y Daniel Sivan, cuenta la historia de judíos europeos refugiados de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Muestra que luego de unirse al ejército de EEUU los llevaron a cuidar un campamento secreto. Allí estaban detenidos importantes científicos nazis destinados a trabajar en tecnología espacial en plena Guerra Fría, reportó Israel21c.
La base militar secreta “PO Box 1142” se usó para alojar prisioneros de guerra antes de pasar a hospedar a algunos de los principales especialistas en ciencia espacial de la Alemania Nazi. Entre ellos estaba Wernher von Braun, que desarrolló los misiles V-2 que llovieron sobre Londres durante la guerra.
A los soldados judíos se les ordenó recabar inteligencia de los alemanes. Al mismo tiempo mantenerlos felices, llevándolos, por ejemplo, a comprar ropa interior para sus esposas o acompañándolos a restaurantes y clubes nocturnos.

El campo, ubicado en el área de Washington DC, se mantuvo en secreto durante más de 50 años. Salió a la luz recién en 2006 cuando el Servicio de Parques Nacionales de EEUU entrevistó a sus guardias retirados, algunos de los cuales aparecen en la película. Ellos son quienes relatan las dificultades y dilemas que tuvieron para cumplir las órdenes recibidas.
Producido con el apoyo del Consejo de Películas y el Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes de Israel, el filme fue seleccionado junto a otros 14 entre 82 películas de todo el mundo.
Lamentablemente, no quedó entre los nominados finales que competirán en la ceremonia anual de Premios de la Academia de Hollywood, que se llevará a cabo el 27 de marzo.
