En el marco del nuevo ciclo de entrevistas de Vis á Vis, el protagonista que se sentó junto a Gustavo Szpigiel fue el presidente de la AMIA, Ariel Eichbaum.
El nuevo ciclo de Vis á Vis se emite una vez por semana a través de nuestro canal de YouTube (youtube.com/visavistv) y permite conocer (aún más) a las personalidades e instituciones de la comunidad judía.
Eichbaum afirmó durante la nota que han «garantizado a la comunidad judía no dejarse penetrar por ningún partido político. La comunidad judía y la AMIA resguardan intereses comunitarios. Tenemos que garantizar no ser utilizados por espacios políticos, y creo que nosotros hemos sabido ser garantes de eso».
Además, aseguró que «el BUR , en términos financieros y económicos, saneó la AMIA. La AMIA tenía una situación deficitaria que era completamente escandalosa e impropia para la comunidad judía argentina. Hemos sido muy cuidadosos en ese sentido, pusimos la AMIA en buenas manos. Desvinculamos por completo de cualquier entusiasmo partidario a la comunidad judía».

«Claramente, la comunidad judía se debe una reingeniería institucional, sin lugar a dudas. En todos los órdenes. Hace falta un largo proceso que tiene que ver con redefinir instituciones, roles. Hay que correr egos, Comisiones Directivas. Hace falta mucha grandeza, una decisión muy férrea. No se puede hacer lentamente. Tiene que ser una hoja de ruta que debe estar marcada y puede llegar a tomar varias cadencias de distintas CD de cada institución. Pero claramente hay que ir a una reingeniería comunitaria», expresó.
Por otra parte, sobre la inseguridad en los cementerios comunitarios, dijo: «Me reuní con el ministro de Seguridad de la Nación en varias ocasiones, con el gobernador (Axel) Kicillof. La crítica a la gestión sobre este tema tiene un grado de miserabilidad. El gasto que hace esta institución en seguridad creo que ninguna ONG de la Argentina lo gasta. Lo que pasó este año es completamente desconcertante, está ligado con lo que pasó en la pandemia. Para mí no tiene connotación antisemita. Tal vez a la respuesta que tenemos de algunos funcionarios, denotan cierta desidia, cierto desinterés, que no le otorgan al lugar la santidad que tiene. Y sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que esta institución realiza con los fondos que recibe por las sepulturas en esos cementerios acciones que son auxiliares del estado. Hacemos ayuda que debería hacer el estado también. Bastante dinero invertimos nosotros como para que no nos puedan proporcionar mínimamente el cuidado de un cementerio».
