Volvieron los inmigrantes judíos a una Colonia Judía en 2022. Por Martha Wolff

Villa Domínguez es un municipio del distrito Bergara, del departamento Villaguay, provincia de Entre Ríos, República Argentina. Allí estuve el 23 de septiembre para festejar  los 130 años de su nacimiento y la llegada de “Los Pampistas”,  en 1892, los primeros inmigrantes judíos rusos en poblarla como parte de las colonias judías del Barón Hirsch.

Y entre los acontecimientos estaba el de ir a la que fue la estación de tren para volver a recibirlos. Allí fuimos muchos a  esperarlos.  Era un día de sol pleno, cielo diáfano sobre nuestras cabezas y a nuestros pies  el andén, vías  de ida y vuelta y a 50 mts de distancia, frente a nosotros,  un viejo galpón con un techo de tejas roído por el tiempo,  suelo de tierra y brotes de plantas donde estaban los artistas que iban a reencarnar esa epopeya.

De repente el bullicio de los presentes se silenció porque quebró el aire el silbido de una locomotora grabada que salía a todo volumen de los parlantes instalados a la entrada de la estación. Con esa fantasía creativa teatral también se escuchó el descorrer de un portón herrumbrado del galpón en presencia de un empleado jerárquico de la Jewish quien  los iba a recibir.  Al abrirse el sol fue iluminando como un foco los rostros de los futuros colonos que iban saliendo con sus bártulos y valijas.

Enceguecidos por tanta luz después de haber vivido tanta sombra se tapaban los ojos y ayudados por lugareños comenzaron a caminar hacia la estación. Al ir llegando sólo atinamos a saludarlos moviendo la cabeza y tratando de darles nuestro cariño después de semejante odisea. Una vez en la estación en un carreta se colocaron sus equipajes y en procesión comenzaron a caminar y detrás nosotros sus amigos desconocidos.

La puesta en escena de sus actuaciones no tenía voz pero si vestuario típico de polleras largas y pañuelos en las cabezas y pañoletas en sus espaldas  para las mujeres más tapados negros, y para los hombres boinas, sombreros, sacos, y paletos.

Los pampistas entregados a sus papeles estaban comprometidos totalmente con sus personajes y la multitud iba detrás o entre ellos para acompañarlos. En un descanso una pareja de gauchos los esperaba con agua y jalá y junto al empleado de la Jewish les daban agua y jalá. Y luego siguieron por la Av. San Martín hasta llegar al galpón histórico donde se recibiría siempre luego a los inmigrantes que fueron arribando con los años. Ya dentro del gran tinglado el representante de Hirsch los fue nombrando  y entregando los papeles con sus predios y hogares para habitar y trabajar.

Fue un volver a vivir esa historia que hizo Historia en la Argentina por la calidad humana de sus miembros que tanto se destacaron.  Al caer el telón muchos de los participantes contaron que lo único que hicieron fue repetir la experiencia de compartir la colonia con los judíos de igual a igual. Y fue así de amistad y respeto el clima vivido.

Un soplo de democracia digno de imitarse en el arte de la convivencia. En tener abiertas las puertas del templo mientras se oficia y hasta los perros se instalan frente a la Habimá para acompañar a los feligreses. Fue junto con la celebración de los 130 años de la llegada de los pampistas la fiesta de la fundación de esa comuna un respirar sin prejuicio el ser judío, el haber sido reconocido comparte del progreso del lugar y amigos de todos. Se podría decir que el intercambio de recetas entre knishes y empanadas resultó una buena industria para las mujeres locales y para las judías un incorporar costumbres del lugar a las propias.

 ¡Volvieron los pampistas y hubo fiesta en el pueblo!
