FiloNews publicó un informe donde desarrolla la historía de por qué llegaron tantos nazis a la Argentina luego de la finalización de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Durante el relato, el periodista Lalo Mir menciona que «alrededor de 180» criminales llegaron al país, aunque las cifras no son oficiales.

Además, el informe asegura que Adolf Hitler «nunca estuvo» en Argentina, pero sí Adolf Eichmann «uno de los máximos responsables de los campos de concentración durante el holocausto».

«Son tiempos en los que la ultraderecha empieza a tener representación en muchos países. En Argentina, por ejemplo, hace unos días apareció en Catamarca el llamado “Comando Águilas Negras”. Pero esta historia empieza mucho antes. Ya en la década del 30, apenas asumió Adolf Hitler el poder en Alemania, hubo descendientes alemanes radicados en Argentina que manifestaron su simpatía con el régimen nazi.

Una vez que terminó la Segunda Guerra Mundial, en 1945, muchos criminales nazis debieron huir. Y varios llegaron a Argentina. Si bien las cifras no son oficiales, se cree que fueron alrededor de 180. Con nombre y apellido se registraron unos 30 alemanes, 50 croatas y 100 franceses. También llegaron dos submarinos del Tercer Reich, pero en ellos no viajaban jerarcas.

Según un estudio que hizo en 1999 la Comisión para el Esclarecimiento de las Actividades Nazis en la Argentina, la mayor teoría conspirativa del siglo XX es falsa: Adolf Hitler nunca estuvo en el país ni se refugió en Bariloche. El  que sí llegó a Argentina fue Adolf Eichmann, uno de los máximos responsables de los campos de concentración durante el holocausto. Se cree que arribó en 1950, cinco años después de terminada la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Y vivió en Argentina más de una década.

Está tan extendida la historia de los nazis en Argentina, que hasta fue incluida en diversas manifestaciones de la cultura popular. En el año 2006, por ejemplo, un criminal de las SS fue incluido en un capítulo de la serie Hermanos y detectives, creada por Damián Szifrón. En el año 2013, la directora Lucía Puenzo estrenó la película Wakolda, que cuenta la historia del siniestro doctor Josef Mengele en la Patagonia argentina.

Muchos de los nazis que se instalaron en Argentina, en especial en la Patagonia, vivieron con tal impunidad que fueron entrevistados varias veces por periodistas locales. Por ejemplo, Erich Priebke, responsable del asesinato de 335 italianos durante la Segunda Guerra, vivió muchos años en Bariloche, y hasta apareció en televisión.

Una de las historias más increíbles que relacionan a los nazis con Argentina es el llamado Proyecto Huemul. A su cargo estuvo Ronald Richter, un físico del nazismo que había llegado al país en 1948. Una vez aquí, le propuso al entonces presidente Juan Domingo Perón un proyecto delirante: fabricar nuestra propia bomba atómica.

Las huellas del nazimos en Argentina llegan hasta nuestros días. Según un estudio de la DAIA, Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas, las redes sociales aportaron al crecimiento de grupos neonazis que difunden material antisemita y hasta están armados. De hecho, en el atentado a la vicepresidenta Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, algunos de los presuntos involucrados tienen simpatía por este tipo de actividades«.
