El primer ministro de Israel, Benjamín Netanyahu, emitió un comunicado mediante la red social X donde se refirió a la situación de la familia Bibas y resaltó la importancia de que el acuerdo se lleve adelante sin inconvenientes.
«Ofer, Yarden, Keith: ¡Es tan bueno verlos en casa! Junto con todos los ciudadanos de Israel y junto con muchos en todo el mundo, mi esposa y yo nos sentimos muy conmovidos al verte con nosotros», comenzó diciendo el primer ministro.
Y continuó: «A principios de esta semana, dejamos muy claro que no toleraríamos ninguna violación del acuerdo. Insistimos en ello y adelantamos una semana la liberación de tres de nuestros rehenes».
«Además, después de las escenas que todos vimos anteayer, exigimos una salida segura para nuestros rehenes en las próximas liberaciones. Como vieron hoy, esta firme postura demostró su eficacia. El mensaje fue entregado, recibido y llevado a cabo. Israel espera que todas las próximas fases también se lleven a cabo de forma segura», siguió.
Para finalizar, Benjamín Netanyahuindicó: «En las últimas dos semanas, hemos logrado liberar a 13 de nuestros secuestrados y a cinco ciudadanos tailandeses que también estaban retenidos por Hamás. En este momento nuestros pensamientos están con Shiri, Ariel y Kfir Bibas, y todos nuestros secuestrados, los vivos y los fallecidos, que aún no han regresado a casa. Seguiremos tomando medidas decididas para traerlos de regreso a casa y lograr todos nuestros objetivos en la guerra».
