Inocencia crónica. Por Egon Friedler

Hagan lo que hagan siempre serán inocentes. Sobre todo, si se lo hacen a los judíos. Por ejemplo, con la aprobación del 67% de la población palestina, la aprobación filosófica de la Autoridad Palestina (AP) y la bendición entusiasta de Hamás, se han dedicado alegremente a acuchillar a israelíes en los últimos dos meses. Lo han hecho con un sentido absolutamente ecuánime, sin preferencias por nadie. Hombres, mujeres y niños fueron candidatos electos al azar con un criterio altamente democrático: todos a juicio de los autodesignados verdugos tenían derecho de morir, les gustara o no.

El mundo, conmovido por esta generosidad, guardó un respetuoso silencio. Nada de molestar a los inocentes crónicos. Una ejemplar discreción acompaña a la decidida campaña palestina para llevar a la tumba a cuántos más israelíes sea posible. La prensa mundial, tan ansiosa de noticias sobre los palestinos, sigue haciendo un esfuerzo conmovedor para no enterarse de nada. Sin duda, no le resulta fácil. Los palestinos están tan motivados y sus perspectivas de morir tratando de matar, son tan grandes, que la tentación resulta demasiado evidente. . Después de todo, la muerte es una causa nacional palestina, del mismo modo en que es una bandera para sus devotos amigos islamistas.

Sin embargo, la gente influyente y bienpensante considera que no es conveniente dar demasiada publicidad a esta provechosa manera de progresar en el camino a la destrucción. Pero, mal que les pese a los reticentes editores, todos los días hay noticias acerca de nuevos intentos de matar israelíes.

Felizmente ellos tienen la prerrogativa de mandar a la papelera las noticias indeseables. Porque, como insisten los jefes de los editores, de cuya identidad nunca se puede estar seguro, los inocentes crónicos o sea, las víctimas, siempre deben ser los palestinos, no los israelíes. Por otra parte, las noticias no son tan novedosas. Después de todo, sólo se trata de una original y novedosa forma de continuar la vieja tradición de matar judíos.

Sin embargo, no es imposible imaginar que a algunos despistados se les podría ocurrir imaginar que pasaría en su país, un país normal que no tiene ningún conflicto con palestinos u otros redentores de la humanidad, si recientes emigrados, extranjeros o minorías, se pusieran a acuchillar a la gente por la calle. ¿Cómo lo tomaría el gobierno, o la opinión pública o el pueblo? ¿Aceptarían el ocultamiento de estas incómodas noticias?

Pero por ahora, los acuchillamientos son una exclusividad palestina, algo que naturalmente tranquiliza a mucha gente y ahorra preocupaciones a sus numerosos amigos, ficticios o reales.

El status internacional de los palestinos no se ha visto perjudicado en lo más mínimo por esta campaña que por ahora ha producido el auspicioso resultado de 100 mártires o sea cadáveres palestinos frescos, una mercadería de gran valor propagandístico en el mercado de la falsedad universal. Por ejemplo, el presidente de la Autoridad Palestina (AP), Mahmud Abbás, acaba de anunciar que pronto habrá de expedir pasaportes del Estado palestino. No aclaró si los pasaportes comprenderían sólo al miniestado de la AP o abarcarían también al miniestado de Hamás. Indudablemente muchos grandes admiradores de la inocencia crónica palestina verían con gusto un Estado palestino genuinamente árabe, es decir un Estado envuelto en una genuina guerra civil entre Hamás y Al Fatah con muchos muertos, al igual que en los países árabes vecinos y de acuerdo a las mejores tradiciones de la historia del islam. Y los pasaportes podrían facilitar un rápido viaje a la violencia, que seguramente afectaría también a Israel.

Pero por ahora, Israel sigue insistiendo, pese a las generosas presiones de la mayoría de los cerebros ilustrados del mundo, en no cometer por tercera vez el error que cometió en el 2000 al retirarse gratis de Líbano para que Hezbolá tenga facilidades para atacarlo y el que cometió en 2005 retirándose gratis de la Franja de Gaza para que Hamás pueda bombardearlo con la comodidad necesaria.

Si los cuchillazos palestinos no impresionan a todos los autoerigidos paladines de la justicia en el mundo, las negativas palestinas a negociar con Israel chocan con un muro de indiferencia formidable. La inocencia crónica de los palestinos es un escudo indestructible mientras la costumbre histórica de proclamar culpables a todos los judíos es una garantía para obtener amplios consensos.

Teniendo en cuenta este dato de la realidad, una nueva etiqueta se ha impuesto en las relaciones de los países más o menos civilizados con Oriente Medio. Todo aquel país que por razones de utilidad propia hace algún gesto de amistad hacia Israel, debe realizar inmediatamente un gesto paralelo hacia el Estado palestino. Por ejemplo, recientemente el mundo fue testigo de la visita del izquierdista primer ministro griego, Alexis Tsipras, a Israel y su cordial encuentro con Netanyahu, de quien se puede decir muchas cosas, pero no precisamente que es de izquierda. Para que esta reunión no fuera ideológicamente mal interpretada, el Parlamento griego se apresuró a reconocer al Estado palestino.

A esta altura se calcula que ya deben haber reconocido al Estado palestino unos treinta países más de los que integran las Naciones Unidas.

Puede afirmarse que el Estado palestino es el más reconocido de los países inexistentes en el mundo. Pero detrás de este hecho pintoresco hay un chiste o un secreto, según como se interprete: los palestinos no quieren ningún Estado. Si se transformaran en un país normal tendrían que trabajar y perderían la fabulosa financiación que les es prodigada por la imbecilidad internacional militante. Porque en ese caso, sufrirían una pérdida muy dolorosa: su inocencia crónica.
