Un restaurant israelí en Alemania cerró por el aumento de antisemitismo

El dueño judío del restaurant israelí Schmock, en Múnich, Alemania, anunció en su página web que cerrará tras 16 años debido al creciente antisemitismo en la capital bávara.

Florian Gleibs, el propietario del local, escribió: «Gente de la clase media acomodada, educada, me identificó como representante de Israel, bajo el lema: ‘lo que la gente está haciendo no tiene diferencias de lo que los alemanes hicimos en aquel entonces [en el Holocausto]'».

Gleibs, quien no es israelí sino que su vínculo parte de que asistió a un colegio en la ciudad de Haifa durante dos años, puso un gran letrero en la ventana del restaurante que recitaba: «Nosotros no estamos involucrados con la política». Pero la hostilidad hacia él y su restaurante continuó.

«El antisemitismo creció desde la guerra de 2014 (conflicto con el grupo terrorista Hamas ubicado en la Franja de Gaza)», aseguró el dueño de la tienda, que además agregó que escuchó personalmente a «gente en las calles gritando ‘judíos, cerdos cobardes, vengan aquí y luchen solos'».
