El primer ministro, Benjamín Netanyahu, exigió a la Autoridad Palestina (AP) que condene el ataque perpetrado por tres palestinos, en el cual fue asesinada a puñaladas por la espalda, la oficial de la Guardia de Frontera Hadar Malka.
“El primer ministro exige que la Autoridad Palestina condene el ataque y espera que la comunidad internacional también lo haga”, señaló la Oficina del Primer Ministro.
Mientras tanto el grupo terrorista Hamas afirmó el sábado que los tres árabes que asesinaron a la oficial israelí Hadas Malka y que fueron abatidos en Jerusalém tras el cobarde ataque en nombre de “Al’láh” pertenecían a sus filas, desmintiendo la reivindicación del grupo yihadista Estado Islámico.
“La reivindicación del Estado Islámico es un intento de enredar las cosas“, señala en un comunicado Sami Abou Zouhri, un portavoz del movimiento musulmán en Gaza. El ataque, añade, fue perpetrado por “dos palestinos del Frente Popular de Liberación de Palestina (FPLP, izquierda histórica palestina) y un tercero de Hamas“
Fatah calificó de “crimen de guerra” la muerte de los tres atacantes palestinos, que perpetraron el doble atentado cerca de la Puerta de Damasco, uno de los accesos a la Ciudad Vieja, de Jerusalén.Poco antes, el movimiento Fatah, que encabeza el presidente palestino, Mahmud Abbás, condenó a las fuerzas israelíes por haber abatido a los terroristas.
Fatah “condena el crimen de guerra perpetrado por las fuerzas de la ocupación israelí en Jerusalén contra los tres adolescentes palestinos”, manifestó el portavoz Osama al Kawasme, en un comunicado. Fatah añadió que “el silencio de la comunidad internacional alienta a Israel a derramar más sangre de los palestinos”.
El ministro de Defensa, Avigdor Liberman, respondió duramente a la posición de Fatah, indicando que “muestra que no hay un socio [para la paz] del otro lado”.
Liberman elogió a Malka, de 23 años, que trató de extraer su arma y luchó con “determinación y coraje” contra el terrorista que la acuchilló por la espalda. El ministro recalcó que ella es una fuente de “inspiración para todos nosotros”.
Los tres terroristas, armados con una metralleta automática y cuchillos perpetraron ataques simultáneos en los lugares adyacentes. Dos de ellos atacaron a un grupo de oficiales de la policía en la Cueva de Tzedkiahu (Zedequías) cerca de la Puerta de Damasco. Los tres habían estado previamente envueltos en “actividades terroristas”, según el Servicio de Seguridad General (Shabak).
El comunicado de la Oficina del Primer Ministro también indica que se está considerando convertir el área cerca de la Puerta de Damasco, que ha sido objeto de numerosos atentandos, en una “zona estéril”, sin brindar más detalles.
