Ante un salón colmado, los Amigos Argentinos de la Universidad Ben Gurión del Neguev realizaron la proyección de un interesante documental sobre una entrevista periodística de seis horas a David Ben Gurión en su casa, que se llamó «David Ben Gurión – El Epílogo».
Ben Gurión declaró la Independencia del Estado de Israel el 14 de mayo de 1948 y fue primer ministro del país entre 1948-1954 y entre 1955-1963.
En el salón principal del Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano, Emilio Perina director general del Archivo General de la Nación (AGN) y voluntario hace 12 años del programa «Abriendo Puertas» que desarrolla la universidad, que se basa en la ayuda que le dan estudiantes a chicos de estudios medios para que no solo puedan completar sus estudios, sino que también, muchos de ellos puedan aspiran a conseguir becas para las mejores universidades, según relato Perina durante la presentación. También se pasó un saludo del embajador argentino en Israel, Mariano Caucino, enviando saludos a todos los Amigos de la Universidad Ben Gurión del Neguev.
Luego el director general de la AGN comentó: «Para el 21 de mayo de 2019 estamos preparando una segunda misión cultural y política que viaje a Israel para acompañar al ex presidente de la República Oriental del Uruguay para que le sea entregado el Doctor Honoris Causa. En está misión también se recorrerán los lugares emblemáticos del Estado de Israel».
A continuación, Perina le dio paso a un panel que fue integrado por la presidenta de la Asociación Amigos Argentinos de la Universidad Ben Gurion del Neguev, Nava Rubenzadeh; Alejandro Grinberg, representante para América Latina de la universidad y Daniel Berliner, dueño del medio Agencia Judía de Noticias, quién habló acerca del viaje que hizo a Israel y a Polonia para festejar los 70 años del Estado de Israel.
El representante para América Latina señaló, en primera instancia, y agradeció que a Nava y a todo el equipo que la acompaña de los Amigos Argentinos de la Universidad Ben Gurión del Neguev por la promoción de Israel y de la universidad, y luego remarcó: «Nuestro tesoro nacional (en referencia a Israel) está en el Neguev», y aseguró que hoy la universidad cuenta con 20.000 alumnos por año de los cuáles 6.200 están en programas de investigación en distintas ramas como la nano tecnología, medicina, la robótica, la cibernética, entre otros campos.
Por último, Grinberg aseveró: «La universidad tiene tres pilares fundamentales: educación, investigación e impacto social (…) ciencia sin conciencia, no tiene sentido». Inmediatamente después, la presidenta de la asociación de amigos argentinos de la Universidad de Ben Gurion del Neguev, quién nació en Jerusalén, fue una testigo privilegiada junto a su familia dado que estuvieron presentes el 14 de mayo de 1948 en Jerusalén cuando se declaró la Independencia del Estado de Israel. Nava nació en Jerusalén y contó los momentos difíciles que tuvo que pasar junto a su familia tras la declaración de la guerra por parte de los países árabes vecinos a Israel.
También mencionó que sus padres eran activos militantes del partido político más conocido por sus siglas MAPAI, Partido de los Trabajadores de la Tierra de Israel, fundado por el ex primer ministro israelí David Ben Gurión y el filósofo Aron David Gordón, y acerca de esto, Nava, aseveró: «Yo recuerdo que Golda Meir y David Ben Gurion estuvieron en mi casa».
Finalmente, los presentes pudieron ver el documental que exhibe a un Ben Gurion sencillo, pero con definiciones categóricas sobre distintas temas que le va preguntando el periodista británico.
