La ex diputada de Venezuela, Paulina Gamus dialogó en exclusiva con Vis a Vis comentando la situación que está viviendo la comunidad venezolana por las protestas que se desataron, hace una semana, en ese país contra el presidente Nicolás Maduro.
La Dra .Gamus, quién en la actualidad esta retirada de las funciones públicas y que está como columnista en el diario «El País» online, afirmó: «Hay una campaña antisemita por parte del gobierno a través de medios oficialistas que tiene 15 años que realmente se mantenido dentro del esquema del gobierno porque no ha trascendido en la población. No hay un temor de ataques antisemitas en la comunidad. No lo has habido en este tiempo, solo hubo un hecho aislado que fue con participación del gobierno». Con respecto a al cantidad de judíos venezolanos que ya no viven allí expresó: «Se ha ido la mitad de la comunidad fuera de Venezuela, pero no por razones antisemitas sino por termas de inseguridad o falta de oportunidades. No creo que los judíos venezolanos se hayan ido por el antisemitismo».
Cuando se le consultó el porque el actual gobierno y el anterior son antisemitas, la ex Ministra de Cultura no dudo en contestar: «Maduro es menos antisemita que Chávez. El ex presidente de Venezuela tuvo un asesor llamado Norberto Ceresole que era argentino, y que además era un antisemita visceral. Él lo instruyó mucho Chávez».
Por último agregó: «Chávez tuvo una relación muy directa con Irán que tiene una posición en contra de Israel. Este gobierno son herederos del anti judaísmo soviético de los años 70 y 80 que influyo mucho a las izquierdas de todos los continentes, y Venezuela no fue la excepción. Si uno ve las caricaturas y las acusaciones contra Israel son exactamente las mismas que de la izquierda de los años que mencione. No ha cambiado nada».
