El Centro Wiesenthal reclama el arresto de los autores del ataque antisemita a un hostel (video)

Además, lamentó «la débil reacción policial» tras lo sucedido. El dueño del establecimiento decidió cerrar las puertas hasta que le garanticen seguridad.
El Centro Simón Wiesenthal pidió sanciones del INADI y mayor reacción policial, incluso el arresto, para un grupo de jóvenes que atacaron con consignas antisemitas un hostel de Chubut que alojaba a turistas israelíes.
En una carta dirigida al interventor del INADI, Pedro Mouratián, el Centro pidió castigar a los responsables que «irrumpieron violentamente con armas de fuego y acompañaron su accionar con consignas antisemitas tales como ‘judíos de mierda’ o acusaciones de que ‘vienen a ocupar la Patagonia’, en línea con el conocido panfleto antijudío ‘Plan Andinia’. Cuando llegaron agentes de policía, los agredieron y acusaron de ‘defender a estos judíos».
«No podemos desvincular estas agresiones de la campaña de boicot contra turistas israelíes promovida por el Comité Comarcal de Solidaridad con Palestina, de la cercana localidad de El Bolsón, en Río Negro. Este incidente es un nuevo ejemplo de cómo la falsa apariencia del ‘antisionismo’ es apenas un pretexto para incitar al odio y la intolerancia contra los judíos en cualquier lugar», señaló el Dr. Shimon Samuels, Director de Relaciones Internacionales del Centro Wiesenthal.
El dueño del Hostel Onda Azul, Yoav Pollac, informó que posee videos de circuito cerrado que prueban las agresiones y que decidió cerrar el establecimiento hasta que le garanticen medidas de seguridad.
«Esta situación genera, además, un impacto negativo para la economía local, dado que por Onda Azul pasaban unas 5.000 personas por año. En este caso, el racismo no es sólo inmoral, sino también perjudicial para el desarrollo de la región», agregó Sergio Widder, Director para América Latina del Centro Wiesenthal.
«Los agresores culpables están identificados; la intervención de autoridades federales debe asegurar que se los arreste», concluye el comunicado difundido por el Centro.
El Centro Simon Wiesenthal es una organización judía internacional de derechos humanos con más de 400.000 miembros en todo el mundo. Tiene status de ONG ante la ONU, la UNESCO, la OEA, la OSCE, el Consejo de Europa y el Parlamento Latinoamericano.
