Con el tradicional corte de cintas, el descubrimiento de una placa en agradecimiento al grupo de donantes que hizo posible el proyecto y un brindis de agasajo, AMIA inauguró ayer una amplia construcción de dos plantas ubicada en la calle Carlos Calvo al 2200, que alberga diez unidades funcionales en las que podrán vivir familias y personas que necesitan habitar un techo digno y confortable.
El ambicioso proyecto que AMIA dio en llamar “Lagur” es una iniciativa que se hizo realidad gracias al generoso aporte de donantes de la institución quienes, junto al Departamento de Programas Sociales de AMIA, trabajaron arduamente para ofrecer una solución integral y de calidad en materia habitacional.
La inauguración del Proyecto Lagur contó con la presencia del Rabino Gabriel Davidovich; el presidente en ejercicio de AMIA Ralph Thomas Saieg; el director ejecutivo de la institución Daniel Pomerantz; el secretario de Programas Sociales Flavio Goldvaser; la directora de Programas Sociales de AMIA Nora Blaistein, y la coordinadora general de Servicios Sociales de AMIA Fanny Kohon.
“Ha llegado un día muy importante para nosotros porque pudimos concretar un sueño que empezó hace mucho tiempo, y que hoy felizmente podemos dejar inaugurado,” indicó Daniel Pomerantz, director ejecutivo de AMIA minutos antes de que se realizara el tradicional corte de cinta.
A su turno, Ralph Thomas Saieg agradeció la generosidad del grupo de donantes que hicieron posible la construcción de las diez viviendas y su equipamiento integral. “Muchas gracias por permitirnos realizar este proyecto”, les dijo. “Con su ayuda y con este gesto, ustedes están transmitiendo dignidad a toda la comunidad”, aseguró el presidente en ejercicio.
Después de bendecir la nueva casa y colocar en cada departamento la correspondiente mezuzá para brindar protección y recordar la presencia permanente de Di’s en el hogar, el Rabino Davidovich destacó la actitud solidaria de los donantes y felicitó a los nuevos habitantes que harán uso del lugar.
Junto con su hija, Adriana, beneficiaria de AMIA y asistente al Centro Integral de Adultos Mayores de la institución, será una de las personas que se mudará a la flamante vivienda de la calle Carlos Calvo. “Estamos muy contentas y emocionadas. La casa está impecable con todo a estrenar. Tenemos todas las esperanzas del mundo en que este cambio va a ser para mejor, y que nos va a llevar a alcanzar otras cosas en la vida y poder progresar”, señaló Adriana.
Con la puesta en marcha del proyecto “Lagur”, palabra que en español significa Vivir o Habitar, AMIA intenta contribuir de esta manera a solucionar en parte el déficit habitacional que atenta contra el derecho humano de vivir con dignidad.
Un nuevo hogar :
Completamente refaccionada y acondicionada, el nuevo complejo habitacional de la calle Carlos Calvo fue equipado con mobiliario nuevo, baño privado, kitchinette, electrodomésticos, ropa de cama y todos los utensilios necesarios para el uso cotidiano. Entre ellos se destacan microondas, horno eléctrico, heladera, ventilador de techo, panel de calefacción ecológica, y televisor de pantalla plana.
Los espacios comunes de la casa incluyen un salón de usos múltiples, lavadero con máquinas de lavar, parrilla y terraza accesible. También se cuenta con un gabinete para la atención profesional y se proveerá con servicio de internet instalado.
Destinadas a familias y personas con escasos recursos, cada unidad funcional de la nueva casa será entregada en comodato por un período de 12 meses, al término de los cuales se podrá reevaluar la permanencia en el lugar. Un comité de admisión y egreso, integrado por profesionales y voluntarios del área de Servicios Sociales de AMIA evaluarán, mediante informes de profesionales, las condiciones físicas, psicológicas y sociales de los aspirantes.
El equipo profesional de AMIA tendrá a su cargo la elaboración de las reglas de convivencia, la confección de los informes sociales correspondientes, la coordinación de las asambleas de convivientes; el acompañamiento de las familias en la nueva situación convivencial, y la supervisión general de la dinámica y cuidado de la casa.
