Tanques israelíes respondieron al lanzamiento de un cohete por parte del grupo terrorista Hamas desde la Franja de Gaza

Las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI) atacaron en la noche del domingo una posición militar del grupo terrorista palestino Hamas en Gaza como respuesta al lanzamiento de un cohete desde la Franja hacia su territorio.

Según un comunicado oficial, el disparo del proyectil durante la noche del domingo «es una violación de la soberanía israelí» que fue respondida con el ataque sobre una instalación militar de Hamas.

 «Después de que un cohete pusiera en peligro la vida de ciudadanos israelíes y violara la soberanía israelí, un tanque atacó y destruyó un puesto de observación de Hamas en el sur de la Franja de Gaza», agregó el texto.

El periódico israelí Haaretz detalló que carros de combate del Ejército arremetieron y destruyeron un observatorio militar cerca de un campo de refugiados en la zona central del enclave después de que las alarmas antiaéreas sonaran en comunidades israelíes del Consejo Regional de Eshkelon colindantes con Gaza.

Sin embargo, el cohete no habría traspasado la frontera y habría explotado en suelo gazatí, sin producir heridos. Tampoco estaba claro si había habido bajas en el grupo terrorista por el ataque israelí informa Infobae con información de EFE y AFP.

El disparo de proyectiles desde la Franja, que Hamas controla desde el 2007, se registra de forma intermitente especialmente tras la corta guerra que el grupo e Israel protagonizaron en 2008. Desde 2014 existe un frágil alto al fuego violado por estos ataques esporádicos.

srael responsabiliza al grupo de cualquier agresión contra su territorio procedentes de la Franja, por ser su gobernante de facto, aunque otros grupos terroristas palestinos operan también en la zona.

En la actualidad los islamistas se encuentran en un proceso de negociaciones para avanzar en la reconciliación con el presidente palestino, Mahmoud Abass, y transferir la administración de Gaza al Ejecutivo de la Autoridad Nacional Palestina, tras diez años de gobierno durante los cuales las condiciones de vida en el enclave se han reducido considerablemente.
