Luego de casi 10 meses en la prisión rusa, la joven regresó a su casa junto a su mamá en la ciudad de Rejovot. En la puerta, decenas de vecinos y periodistas aguardaban ansiosos su arribo.
De vuelta a casa: tras cuatro horas de vuelo, Naama Issachar llegó a Israel. La joven aterrizó junto a su madre en el aeropuerto Ben Gurión en un avión de El Al, en el que viajó acompañada por el primer ministro Benjamín Netanyahu y su esposa, Sara, quienes regresaron de Moscú luego de reunirse con el presidente Vladimir Putin en el Kremlin.
Durante el vuelo, Naama pudo disfrutar de comer humus, según relató su mamá. Asimismo, el primer ministro le obsequió Bissli, el clásico snack israelí, y también recibió el chocolate para untar «Hashachar».
En el avión, Netanyahu habló con periodistas y señaló que Naama estaba muy emocionada: «Es difícil de describir, era la primera vez que veía el cielo y los árboles, y nos agradecía a mí y a mí esposa».
El primer ministro agregó que «las relaciones con Rusia son estratégicas y prioritarias».
«En el pasado evitamos enfrentamientos militares, pero lo superamos. Y el caso de Naama podría haber debilitado toda la relación, tuvo que resolverse porque estaba escalando, y requirió la participación del primer ministro».
Además señaló que «la expulsión de turistas israelíes formó parte de esta crisis» y en referencia a la extradición a Estados Unidos del hacker ruso Alexei Burkov sostuvo que «otras posturas de Israel afectaron a Naama y sentimos la obligación de ayudarla».
Al bajar del avión, Naama agradeció y expresó que todavía se siente en «shock», luego de haber estado casi un año en la cárcel de Rusia.
Vecinos y familiares que se acercaron hasta la puerta de la casa de la joven en Rejovot para poder saludarla, se mostraron emocionados y expectantes por su llegada. También decenas de periodistas aguardaban por obtener una declaración, pero Naama ingresó de inmediato a su hogar.
Posteriormente, su madre, Yaffa, salió unos minutos para hablar con la prensa: «Naama está en su casa», destacó. También agradeció y contó cómo fue que Naama se enteró que sería liberada: «Vio en televisión a Netanyahu con Trump, y al otro día cuando lo vio con Putin entendió que era una buena señal».
Issachar, de 26 años, había sido detenida el pasado 9 de abril, en la zona de tránsito del aeropuerto Sheremétievo de Moscú, mientras viajaba desde Nueva Delhi a Tel Aviv, luego de que los guardias le encontraran 9,6 gramos de cannabis en su mochila.
