Ingredientes:

Una taza (250 cm3) de miel -«Tan dulce como la sonrisa de la bobe»
Una taza de azucar blanca.- «Tan dulce como la sonrisa de los nietos»
Aceite neutro, una taza.- «De tan buena calidad como la de la lámpara de Jánuca que ardió 8 días»
1/2 Taza de café fuerte negro y frío.- oscuro como los días que le tocaron vivir al pueblo judío
1/2 Taza de te.- «Como el que tomaban los abuelos en Rusia y sacaban del Samovar (o Somobar)
Tres huevos.- Como eso que nos recuerda el inicio y los orígenes
Harina blanca, tres tazas.- Como la pureza del amor y la bendición del alimento primero
Tres cucharadas de escencia de vainilla.- Como los perfumes mas deliciosos
1/2 cucharadita de clavo de olor molido
Tres cucharaditas de canela
1/2 cucharadita de bicarbonato de sodio
cáscara rallada- un limón y una naranja- «Para que tenga su personalidad bien presente»
Una manzana rallada. «como en Rosh Hashaná»
Dos copitas de cognac: «como para que se sienta el gustito de fiesta»

Proceso
Se cocina en una tartera cuadrada de 30 cm de largo cubierta con papel especial de horno. A horno suave de 200 grados y poenmos dentro de él, una pequeña fuente con agua para que el vapor la haga mas esponjosa.
Está lista al cabo de una hora y media y cuando pinches con un palillo y salga seco
Este Leicaj lo preparaba mi mamá, la mamá de mi mamá y así para atrás. De generación en generación y nunca pierde su gusto
