El presidente Recep Tayyip Erdogan afirmó que Turquía evalúa suspender relaciones diplomáticas y cerrar su embajada en Abu Dhabi. El motivo es estrictamente el acuerdo de paz que hizo Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) con Israel.

Erdogan estuvo hablando con periodistas en Estambul después de que el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Turquía dijera que la historia nunca perdonará el “comportamiento hipócrita” de (EAU) al llegar a un acuerdo de este tipo.

Precisamente el Ministerio afirmó que el pueblo palestino y su Administración tenían razón al reaccionar enérgicamente contra el acuerdo. El mismo reformula el orden de la política de Oriente Medio del problema palestino a la lucha contra Irán.

“La historia y la conciencia de los pueblos de la región no olvidarán y nunca perdonarán este comportamiento hipócrita de EAU. Traicionaron la causa palestina por el bien de sus estrechos intereses”, publicó el ente gubernamental en un comunicado.

“Es extremadamente preocupante que EAU intente acabar con el Plan de Paz Árabe (2002) desarrollado por la Liga Árabe. No es creíble que esta declaración de tres vías se presente como apoyando la causa palestina”, se lee en el escrito.
