Voy a celebrar el acuerdo de paz firmado entre Israel y los Emiratos Árabes, algo que se venía tramando desde hace tiempo, pero como manejo político, estaba entre bambalinas hasta que vio la luz.
La verdad que si Donald Trump lo hizo para ganar las elecciones, no me interesa.
Lo que sí me importa es tener presente que así como en las guerras y luego los acuerdos las fronteras fueron flexibles por los pactos posteriores, a mí me este acuerdo me da una dimensión sin límites de un diminuto país como Israel, pero grande por su poderío en varios rubros.
De solo mirar el mapa de un país y de otro, solo puedo recordar a David y Goliat.
Siento que es como esa desproporción entre un gigante y un pequeño país, en los que hay muchos intereses de por medio.
De parte de Israel es contar con el apoyo político ante los palestinos y sus facciones más extremas que buscan su destrucción. Pero que a partir de ahora sabrán que los israelíes no están solos.
Por otra parte, los Emiratos al igual cuando existía la Guerra Fría entre Estados Unidos y Rusia para dominar al mundo, hoy tienen como enemigos a los rusos con su apoyo a Siria, Irán e Irak. Aparte de las tensiones religiosas dominantes entre los shiítas y los sunitas y puntualizar que estos últimos son los que pactaron con Israel.
Por lo tanto no es solo un acto de generosidad. Detrás de esto también está la mengua de petróleo con lo que se enriquecieron los países arábigos queriendo proveer aprovisionarse de la tecnología de Israel, una de las mejores del mundo.

También los tramos de tráfico aéreo serán de gran beneficio para ambos.
Y ahora salto de la política a Jerusalem, aquella, la de antes del terrorismo. A la que podía visitar tanto al Muro de los Lamentos, luego a la Mezquita de Omar y después me dirigía al Santo Sepulcro para visitar los tres lugares sagrados de las tres religiones monoteístas en esta ciudad sagrada.
Pero no solamente eso sino que siempre amé caminar por esas calles de piedra jerosolimitana, amarillas, embebida del sol del desierto. Además siento placer de ver caminar a los creyentes de la fe con sus hábitos religiosos. Me deleito escuchando al moazín que llama desde los minaretes a rezar cinco veces podía a sus fieles.
A ver las peregrinaciones hacia el Santo Sepulcro y observar a los presurosos ortodoxos camino al Muro de los Lamentos.
Ni qué hablar de lo que siento al caminar por lo mercados, admirar sus artesanías, sus souvenirs y el deleitarme con el aroma de las especies y comidas tradicionales.
Todo un submundo debajo de la cúpula celeste en el Dios está más cerca que en el resto del Universo.

Bajo ese cielo a partir de ahora sé que podré volver a visitar tanto y como los árabes de los emiratos, la Roca del Domo desde donde Mahoma subió al cielo volando en un corcel alado.
Creo que volverá a haber mayor comunicación entre árabes y judíos algo así como pasó en el Siglo de Oro español.
Con este tratado de Paz es impensable.
Todo lo que vendrá para los israelíes furibundos viajeros, justamente porque viven en un pequeño país, haciendo turismo y negocios será maravilloso. No digo que dormirán en los hoteles lujo de miles dólares, imposible para la gente de clase media, pero harán picnics en el desierto que ellos bien conocen.
Simplemente estas pinceladas de mis recuerdos, esperanzas y deseos son ante otro milagro. Bíblico como cuando se abrieron las aguas del Mar Rojo para que Moisés y su pueblo llegaran a la Tierra Prometida.
A partir de este acuerdo, el mundo árabe se abrió ante este otro milagro del Siglo XX que fue la creación del Estado de Israel. Brindo por el progreso del mundo.
