El Ministerio de Salud de Israel reveló este lunes los detalles de su propuesta de “pasaporte verde” para los israelíes vacunados contra COVID-19.

Los funcionarios de salud dijeron que quienes den negativo a una prueba de detección de coronavirus recibirán un “pasaporte verde”. Será temporal durante 72 horas. Por su parte, los pasaportes otorgados a los vacunados o recuperados del COVID-19 serán válidos por seis meses.

“Para lograr la inmunidad colectiva en el Estado de Israel, estamos hablando de que el 70 por ciento [de la población] esté vacunada. El ‘pasaporte verde’ es un medio que queremos usar para administrar la vida diaria a medida que aumenta el número de recuperados”, dijo el comisionado del gobierno para coronavirus Najman Ash al Comité de Constitución, Derecho y Justicia de la Knéset, informó Enlace Judío.

El Ministerio de Salud dijo que el pasaporte está destinado a fomentar la vacunación. A su vez, permitirá la reapertura de sectores de la economía cerrados por las restricciones gubernamentales por COVID-19.

El ministerio dijo que los “pasaportes verdes” podrían usarse para permitir el acceso a eventos culturales y deportivos. También a conferencias, museos y otros tipos de reuniones masivas. Agregó que probablemente se usarán en restaurantes, cafés y centros comerciales. Además, se podrán utilizar para hoteles, gimnasios y piscinas. No obstante, no serán necesarios para escuelas, lugares de trabajo, transporte público, lugares de culto y tiendas en la calle.

Los pasaportes se pueden utilizar a través de una aplicación de teléfono inteligente o reconocimiento de voz interactivo. También se pueden imprimir como un documento físico, según la presentación.

“Quien fue vacunado o recuperado podrá ingresar a lugares, como Habima [teatro], y quien no lo esté puede hacerse una prueba y luego ir a una función”, dijo Ash. “No habrá un confinamiento para la mitad del país mientras que la mitad del país sea libre. Esto no sucederá”.

Junto con los “pasaportes verdes”, desde el Ministerio de Salud dijeron que emitirá un documento de prueba de vacunación para las personas inmunizadas. De esta manera, las eximirá de los requisitos de cuarentena. Afirmaron que también se emitirá una versión en inglés del documento para los turistas extranjeros.

El documento tendrá una validez de seis meses. Esto será a partir de una semana después de recibir la segunda dosis de la vacuna de Pfizer-BioNTech, o, llegado el momento, de Moderna.

“Las restricciones de ocupación y reuniones continuarán de acuerdo con la situación general de contagios”. Eso afirmaron desde Ministerio de Salud haciendo referencia sobre la emisión de los pasaportes. También dijeron que las empresas no necesitarán adquirir equipos especiales para verificar los pasaportes.

Un representante del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Israel dijo que se ha puesto en contacto con otros países sobre los pasaportes. Eso se lo expresó a los miembros de la Knéset.

Los funcionarios no especificaron cuándo comenzarían a emitirse los pasaportes. Itamar Grotto, subdirector general del Ministerio de Salud, dijo que el ministerio estaba en contacto con empresas de tecnología sobre los pasaportes. El principal obstáculo era prevenir las falsificaciones.

El Ministro de Salud, Yuli Edelstein, dijo el lunes que Israel administró hasta el momento 1 millón 224 mil dosis. Todas de la vacuna de Pfizer-BioNTech contra COVID-19.
