El tenista argentino Diego Schwartzman, octavo cabeza de serie, avanzó este miércoles a la tercera ronda del Abierto de Australia, primer torneo de Grand Slam del año que se juega en Melbourne. Se impuso sin pasar sobresaltos sobre el francés Alexandre Muller por 6-2, 6-0 y 6-3.

Hasta ahora, «el triunfo más preponderante en un Grand Slam sería el de Thiem, que le gané en cinco sets en cuartos de final del último Roland Garros. Ese encuentro fue muy importante ya que necesitaba la victoria para entrar en el Top 10 y disputar las Finales ATP», dijo el Peque.
Y también Schwartzman dio su análisis sobre la paliza que le dio a Müller en la segunda ronda del Abierto de Australia: «Me esperaba un partido más difícil, es cierto, pero la verdad es que se dieron las dos cosas, él falló mucho y yo realicé muchos aciertos. Ahora mismo hace 31 grados y el sol aquí es muy fuerte. Además, durante este mes hay más humedad que en enero, por lo que me deja contento que haya podido jugar por poco tiempo en el día más caluroso»
