Omer Tabib Z´L es el soldado israelí muerto en combate

Las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel informan que la persona que murió en un ataque con misiles guiados antitanque a primera hora de hoy era un soldado de la Brigada de Infantería Nahal, el sargento primero Omer Tabib (HY”D).

Tabib, de 21 años, participaba en operaciones de seguridad en torno a la comunidad de Netiv Ha’asara para protegerla de posibles ataques de infiltración de terroristas procedentes de la Franja de Gaza, afirma el portavoz de las FDI, Hidai Zilberman.

Él, un oficial y otro soldado estaban en un jeep dentro de Netiv Ha’asara, que se encuentra en una colina con vistas a la frontera norte de Gaza, cuando fue alcanzado por el misil. El oficial resultó gravemente herido y el otro soldado sufrió heridas moderadas.

Al estar en una colina, el jeep era vulnerable al ataque de misiles antitanque, afirma Zilberman.

No está claro qué tipo de misil se utilizó en el ataque. El ejército prohibió inicialmente la publicación del nombre de Tabib hasta que su familia pudiera ser notificada de su muerte.
