Un grupo judío líder en Alemania condenó el ataque antisemita de una Torá dentro de la sala de rezo en el aeropuerto internacional de Frankfurt.

La policía de Frankfurt dijo que se pintaron esvásticas en el gabinete dentro de la sala de oración, que se encuentra en el área de tránsito del aeropuerto.

A su vez, la esvástica fue descubierta hace varios días, pero no se dio a conocer cuánto tiempo estuvo allí porque la sala de rezo permaneció cerrada por la pandemia de coronavirus, informó la agencia de noticias alemana dpa.

Los rollos escritos que contienen la Torá, los primeros cinco libros del Antiguo Testamento, se guardan en gabinetes conocidos como arcas y se retiran y se leen durante los servicios judíos.

“Es simplemente triste. Este odio a los judíos debe finalmente cesar”, dijo la Conferencia Rabínica Ortodoxa de Alemania en un comunicado. “La fea mueca del antisemitismo no se detiene ni siquiera en un área altamente segura. Es un lugar de encuentro y silencio, donde personas de todo el mundo se encuentran brevemente mientras viajan y están en tránsito”.
