B’nai Brith Canadá condenó enérgicamente la manifestación antisemita en Toronto, pidiendo la violencia contra el «Estado sionista». Además, criticó que las autoridades no impidieron ni sancionaron estas concentraciones de odio contra los judíos israelíes.

La organización, a través de un comunicado, dijo que los manifestantes se reunieron cerca de la plaza Yonge-Dundas, cerrando parte de la calle más transitada de Canadá bajo la atenta mirada de la policía.

El evento lo organizó el Movimiento de la Juventud Palestina (PYM), un grupo abiertamente pro-terrorista. El mismo que también planificó el infame evento del 15 de mayo de 2021, en el que los contramanifestantes judíos fueron golpeados y acosados durante el conflicto Israel-Hamás.

En esta última protesta los asistentes gritaron en árabe: “¡Hablemos abiertamente, no queremos ver a ningún sionista!”. Además, los organizadores de la marcha en Toronto se refirieron a Israel como el “Estado sionista”.

Otros cánticos afirmaban que “¡Del agua al agua, Palestina es árabe!” y proclamaron el apoyo a una “Intifada”, o ataques violentos contra los judíos israelíes.

Los manifestantes también corearon: “No queremos dos Estados, queremos el 48” y “Aplastad el Estado sionista de colonos”. Dejando claro que no aceptarían otra cosa que la destrucción total de Israel y la expulsión de su población judía.

B’nai Brith Canada señaló que la política de la ciudad de Toronto establece que “el espacio público, las instalaciones y las propiedades dentro de la jurisdicción de la ciudad de Toronto no estarán disponibles ni serán accesibles a ningún individuo o grupo que promueva opiniones e ideas que puedan fomentar la discriminación, el desprecio o el odio hacia cualquier persona o grupo” por motivos de raza, ciudadanía, ascendencia o religión, entre otros.

Sin embargo, por lo que sabe B’nai Brith, esta política nunca se aplicó a las manifestaciones antisemitas en Toronto.
