Lalela, la sudafricana que desafió a su gobierno, llegó a Israel para Miss Universo. Tras arribar este domingo al aeropuerto de Tel Aviv, publicó varias fotografías y videos en sus cuentas en las redes sociales.

“Primer día de Miss Universo 2021 y ¡qué maravilloso fue!», escribió. «¡Conocí a muchas de mis compañeras concursantes y estas mujeres son absolutamente fenomenales!“, agregó la modelo, de 24 años.

“¡No puedo esperar a lo que vendrá!”, dijo, recordando que el próximo paso es este lunes, cuando acuda a la inscripción formal para participar del famoso concurso.

El preámbulo del viaje de Lalela estuvo rodeado de controversia. Esto se debió a que el gobierno de Sudáfrica, notoriamente pro-palestino, le había pedido que no concurriera al certamen en Eilat, informó Israel Económico.

Lo mismo hicieron varias organizaciones radicales que apoyan el boicot cultural y económico contra Israel. Las autoridades de Pretoria, cansadas de presionar a la modelo, le advirtieron que, si viajaba, lo haría sin el apoyo del gobierno.

A pesar de todo eso, Mswane no solamente viajó a Israel sino que registró todo el recorrido en numerosas fotografías y comentarios. Lo hizo desde su partida de Sudáfrica.

“Ser Miss Sudáfrica no es solo un honor sino también una gran responsabilidad. Estoy decidida a servir a nuestro país con orgullo de la mejor manera que pueda”, escribió Lalela en Instagram.

El título, completó la modelo, “también viene con la oportunidad de representar a nuestro país en una plataforma internacional. Será junto con mujeres de todos los ámbitos de la vida, juntas para lograr un cambio positivo en las causas que nos apasionan”.
