El Ministerio de Salud de Israel anunció este lunes que permitirá la entrada al país a turistas totalmente vacunados de países no “rojos” a partir del domingo 9 de enero, informó The Times of Israel.
Los turistas deberán llenar una solicitud de entrada en línea y mostrar una prueba PCR o antígeno negativa antes de abordar su vuelo.
Extranjeros no vacunados o recuperados de países incluidos en la lista “roja” de exclusión aérea de la dependencia aún no podrán ingresar al país.

Según las nuevas pautas, turistas y ciudadanos israelíes vacunados y recuperados que ingresan de países definidos como “naranja” ya no tendrán que permanecer aislados durante tres días, sino hasta recibir un resultado negativo en la prueba PCR administrada al aterrizar. Esta decisión también está sujeta a la aprobación del comité.
El primer ministro Naftali Bennett reconoció el domingo que el levantamiento de las restricciones de viaje puede parecer no intuitivo. Pero explicó que cuando había menos casos activos en el país, la propagación del virus desde el extranjero tenía un efecto mucho más significativo.
La flexibilización de las restricciones de viaje se produce ante un constante aumento del contagio por la variante Ómicron.

El Ministerio de Salud informó este lunes que el día anterior se confirmaron 6,562 casos, más del triple que una semana antes.
Otros 2,305 diagnósticos desde la medianoche elevaron los casos activos a más de 37,000. El número de contagios por Ómicron es de 1,741.
El lunes por la mañana se registraron 110 pacientes en estado grave, 45 de ellos en estado crítico. La mayoría de los pacientes graves no están vacunados.
La tasa de transmisión también continuó su aumento constante, llegando a 1.88. La tasa de transmisión, o número R, que representa el promedio de personas que contagia cada portador del virus, se basa en datos de 10 días antes y cualquier valor superior a 1 indica que la pandemia se está extendiendo.
El 4.83% de las pruebas realizadas el domingo resultaron positivas, otra señal de que la propagación del virus se acelera.
