Miriam Naor, ex presidenta de la Corte Suprema de Israel, falleció el lunes a la edad de 74 años.
Ella nació en Jerusalén en 1947, pocos meses antes del establecimiento del Estado de Israel.
Naor se graduó de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Hebrea en 1971.
Además fue nombrada miembro del Tribunal de Primera Instancia de Jerusalén en 1980, donde estuvo entre los jueces que declararon culpable de soborno al exministro Aryeh Deri.
De 2003 a 2017, Naor sirvió en la Corte Suprema, incluso como presidente del Tribunal Supremo de 2015 a 2017.

El presidente Isaac Herzog elogió a Naor en un comunicado publicado el lunes por la mañana.
‘El Estado de Israel inclina la cabeza ante el fallecimiento prematuro de la expresidenta de la Corte Suprema, la jueza Miriam Naor’, dijo Herzog.
‘El público también dio testimonio de sus virtudes cuando recientemente encabezó la Comisión Estatal de Investigación sobre el Desastre del Monte Meron’ sostuo el anterior.
‘Mis más sinceras condolencias al amor de su vida, el Prof. Aryeh Naor, ya su familia, admiradores y seres queridos’ concluyó Herzog.
