El Al, Arkia e Israir ofrecieron sus aviones para llevar a cabo los vuelos necesarios a Ucrania para evacuar israelíes residentes en ese país europeo.
El mismo esta actualmente bajo la amenaza de conflicto con Rusia.
Según el gobierno de Jerusalén, alrededor de 15.000 israelíes viven en Ucrania.
De todas maneras, el plan de evacuación incluye también a los miembros de la comunidad judía ucraniana que quieran dejar el país.
El Ministro de Exteriores israelí, Yair Lapid, informó que mantuvo este sábado una videoconferencia con los diplomáticos del país en la embajada en Kiev.
“Escuché de parte de ellos las evaluaciones sobre la situación de emergencia” en Ucrania y se actualizaron los planes de evacuación, informó.
“Les aclaré que sus familias son nuestras familias, nos encargaremos de todo lo que se necesite” para proteger a los israelíes y a los judíos en Ucrania, enfatizó.
Arkia fue la primera de las aerolíneas que ofreció sus vuelos para asistir a los israelíes que buscan salir de Ucrania.
Los vuelos, se informó, se llevarán a cabo entre el lunes y el martes de esta semana.

Este sábado, El Al e Israir se sumaron al esfuerzo y pusieron sus aviones a disposición del Ministerio de Exteriores para participar del programa de evacuación.
También este sábado, el Primer Ministro de Israel, Naftali Bennett, urgió a sus compatriota a salir de Ucrania.
“Se acordó elevar la advertencia de viaje para el área, junto con un llamado a los ciudadanos israelíes para que se vayan de inmediato”, señaló Bennett.
Se trata de una situación muy delicada para Israel, que mantiene buenas relaciones tanto con Ucrania como con Rusia.
Ambos países con grandes comunidades judías (200.000 y 600.000 personas, respectivamente).
Bennett ordenó a sus Ministros no hablar en público sobre el conflicto para no complicar la situación de los judíos en los dos países enfrentados.
