Un médico de Hadassah le salvó la vida a la hija de una refugiada ucraniana. La mujer, que escapó de la guerra, llegó al centro de refugiados con su niña de 9 años que tiene fibrosis quística, reportaron en Hadassah Live Blog.
Después de que comenzaran los bombardeos, solo tenían unas pocas horas para abandonar su ciudad natal de Dnipro (ex Dnipropetrovsk) en el centro-este de Ucrania.
Se fueron con tanta prisa que no pudieron conseguirle a la niña la medicación que necesita para su condición de fibrosis quística, una condición crónica complicada. Es una enfermedad genética progresiva que acorta la vida, que es una afección crónica y complicada que afecta a múltiples órganos del cuerpo. La atención multidisciplinar es fundamental para una atención óptima de esta compleja enfermedad.
Pasaron 5 días en la en la ruta sin ningún tratamiento, un hecho que lógicamente puse en peligro la vida de la niña. Esta madre desesperada y valiente tuvo que luchar para salvar a su hija del bombardeo y de su enfermedad.
Tuvieron que evitar el bloqueo de carreteras para llegar a la frontera, reportó Enlace Judío.
Después de días de viaje, llegaron al campo de refugiados de Przemysl, Polonia, donde el equipo médico de Hadassah vio y trató a la niña. A pesar de estar en estado grave, los médicos y enfermeras de Hadassah lograron salvar la vida.

Además de los más de 3 millones que abandornar el país desde el comienzo de los combates, otros 2 millones de ucranianos han sido desplazados dentro de sus fronteras tras la invasión rusa, dice la ONU.
Seis de cada 10 refugiados ucranianos cruzaron la frontera polaca, o unas 1.916.445 personas hasta el momento.
Decenas de miles de personas también ingresan a Ucrania desde Polonia, en su mayoría quienes regresan para luchar. Sin embargo, también otros que buscan cuidar a familiares ancianos o que regresan para traer a sus familias a Polonia.
Antes de la crisis, alrededor de 1,5 millones de ucranianos vivían en Polonia, la gran mayoría trabajando en la nación de la UE.
Los datos de llegadas a los países vecinos de Ucrania que se encuentran en la zona de fronteras abiertas Schengen de Europa (Polonia, Hungría y Eslovaquia) solo representan cruces fronterizos hacia ese país.
