Falleció el sobreviviente del Holocausto, Santiago Goldbaum Z'L
El Museo del Holocausto de Buenos Aires informó el fallecimiento del sobreviviente Santiago Goldbaum Z’L, quien nació en Varsovia, Polonia, el 11 de julio de 1935.
Durante los primeros años de la Segunda Guerra Mundial vivió junto a su familia en París. En 1942, Santiago y sus cuatro hermanos fueron llevados al sur de Francia, donde familias campesinas los recibieron y los escondieron durante la guerra.
Luego del fin del conflicto, Santiago y sus hermanos pudieron reencontrarse con su madre, pero su padre había sido asesinado en un campo de exterminio. En 1947, la familia zarpó hacia América, primero asentándose en Bolivia y luego llegando a nuestro país, donde los chicos se instalaron en el Hogar de Niños y Ancianos de Burzaco.
A la edad de 18 años, Santiago comenzó a trabajar en la industria textil, profesión que lo acompañó toda la vida. En 1963 se casó con Margarita Juz y tuvieron cuatro hijos.
Formaba parte del Programa de Ayuda a Sobrevivientes de la Fundación Tzedaká.
«En estos momentos de dolor, abrazamos a sus familiares y seres queridos, con el compromiso de mantener la historia de Santiago viva para las futuras generaciones», expresó el Museo del Holocausto en sus redes sociales.
