Los miles de seguidores de Fauda esperan con ansias una quinta temporada de la exitosa serie israelí, que puede o no estar entre los planes de sus productores: mientras tanto, sus principales actores estuvieron trabajando en distintos proyectos alrededor del mundo.
Para empezar, Tsahi Halevi, que en Fauda interpreta a Naor, uno de los miembros de la unidad antiterrorista israelí alrededor de la cual giran las historias de la serie -y que en la temporada 1 tuvo una aventura amorosa con la esposa de Doron Kavilio (Lior Raz)-, desembarcó en el cine de la India, reportó Israel Económico.
Halevi, que es también cantante y está casado con la popular presentadora televisiva árabe israelí Lucy Aharish, puede ser visto en su primera película en hindi, Akelli, protagonizada por Nushrratt Bharuccha y con fecha de estreno en los cines del país asiático en este mes de agosto.
El thriller está ambientado en Irak y la dirección estuvo a cargo del debutante Pranay Meshram. Según la breve sinopsis en la ficha de la película en el portal IMDB, se trata de la historia de una joven india «ordinaria» (Bharuccha) que «queda atrapada en una tierra devastada por la guerra», donde «la supervivencia es su batalla».
Resultó «una gran oportunidad ser parte de un mundo tan colorido del cine indio», dijo Halevi a través de un comunicado difundido por la productora del filme. «Estoy súper emocionado», añadió el actor israelí, quien confesó haber quedado «sorprendido con el guión desde que lo vi por primera vez».
«Fue realmente agradable trabajar con todo el elenco y el equipo en Akelli y estoy seguro de que será una película impactante e inolvidable», completó el intérprete de Maor entre los actores de Fauda.
Junto con Halevi, en el filme de Meshram trabajó otro conocido por los seguidores de la serie israelí, Amir Boutrous, muy recordado por su papel del temible y complejo Omar Tawalbe en la cuarta temporada de Fauda.
Akelli, afirmó Boutrous, es «el tipo de película adecuado para hacer mi debut en las películas indias», ya que «tiene una gran historia y el mensaje perfecto».
Además, continuó el actor británico, quien trabajó en la serie The Crown y el filme Aladdin del 2019, la película india contó con «el elenco más increíble».

El rostro de otro de los más destacados miembros del grupo comando liderado por el personaje de Lior Raz, el querible pero controvertido Steve, está teniendo un gran impacto en otra serie nacional.
Hablamos, por supuesto, del actor Doron Ben-David, que es uno de los protagonistas de Shaat Efes (Hora Cero), lanzada en inglés como The Lesson (La Lección), junto a Maya Landsmann y Alma Zak.
Shaat Efes viene de ganar uno de los principales galardones del festival Canneseries en el 2022 y también en la premiación israelí 2023 de las mejores producciones televisivas. Ben-David interpreta a Amir, un profesor de secundaria, en medio de un episodio de acoso que se sale de control.
Durante un tiempo en este 2023, hasta que fue eliminado, a Doron se lo pudo ver también en la novena edición de Rokdim Im Kohavim, la versión israelí de Dancing with Stars, donde bailó junto a Jenia Leibman.
Por su parte, otro de los actores de Fauda, el reconocido Itzik Cohen, quien personificó al duro y a veces impredecible capitán Gabi Ayoub, tuvo un papel en otro de los grandes sucesos de la productora Yes Studios, nada menos que Miss Jerusalén, donde cumplió el papel de Avraham en la primera temporada.
Finalmente, Raz, uno de los creadores de la serie junto al periodista Avi Issacharoff, había sido anunciado en mayo de este año como parte de la secuela del ya clásico filme Gladiator (2000), pero -al parecer- el rodaje se suspendió a causa de la huelga de guionistas en Hollywood.
En cuanto a una quinta temporada de Fauda, Issacharoff dio a entender a principios de este año que, junto a Raz, están interesados en ponerla en marcha, incluso en forma de película, pero que todo depende de la productora.
