Hamás sorprendió a Israel el sábado con el ataque sorpresa más dañino por tierra, mar y aire que Israel haya enfrentado en décadas, algunos citando las guerras de 1973 y 1948.
El grupo terrorista invadió con éxito alrededor de 22 comunidades del corredor de Gaza, de distintos tamaños, cortando la valla fronteriza supuestamente mejorada de las FDI, desembarcos anfibios con comandos navales en Zikim y pequeños vehículos improvisados de transporte aéreo y tipo drones simultáneamente a partir de las 6:30 am.

«La organización terrorista Hamás es soberana en la Franja de Gaza y es responsable de este ataque. Asumirá las consecuencias y la responsabilidad de estos acontecimientos«, anunció el ejército israelí.

Llega a más de 700 la cantidad de personas asesinadas y Hamas informa que tomó rehenes. Reportan al menos 2.200 heridos.
DÍA 3 DEL CONFLICTO EN ISRAEL
La Fuerza Aérea de Israel bombardea Gaza durante la noche en un intento por «devastar» las capacidades de Hamás.
El secretario del gabinete israelí, Yossi Fuchs, tuitea: “¡Está previsto que la primera guerra de Gaza sea también la última!”.
Las sirenas suenan en Rishon Lezion, Holon, Yavne, Sderot, Bnei Darom, Ashdod, Palmahim y otras zonas del centro y sur de Israel.
El ministro de Defensa, Yoav Gallant, está realizando una evaluación de la situación en el Comando Sur, junto con su comandante, el general de división Yaron Finkelman. El político ordenó «el cierre inmediato de la Franja de Gaza«.

El primer ministro del Reino Unido, Rishi Sunak, condena la “barbarie” de los ataques de Hamás contra Israel, basándose en sus comentarios originales.
En el sur de Israel suenan sirenas que advierten de ataques con cohetes inminentes.
El secretario de Estado estadounidense, Antony Blinken, habla con su homólogo egipcio, el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores, Sameh Shoukry para evitar que el conflicto siga escalando.
Según el Departamento de Estado de EE.UU., Blinken pide “un cese inmediato del atroz ataque de los terroristas de Hamás contra Israel” y también expresa el agradecimiento de EE.UU. por “los continuos esfuerzos de los dirigentes egipcios” para intentar reducir las tensiones.
