Reflexión del seminarista del Centro Hebreo Ioná, Brian Menes Wainstein, hoy, Parashá Tzav.
La Parashá que nos toca leer esta semana se llama Tzav y, esta palabra guarda una relación etimológica con la palabra «Mitzvá».
Tzav puede ser traducida como «mandamiento» pero, también, como «unión».
Es poco usual en nuestra Torá que una expresión tenga más de una traducción. Esto claramente tiene una explicación y no sucede porque si…sino que, justamente, esconde el verdadero mensaje de esta sección de la Torá, ya que marca la relación estrecha entre estas dos definiciones.
En la enseñanza de esta Parashá y en el significado de las dos expresiones, «mandamiento» y «unión», podemos encontrar el verdadero punto de inflexión del judaísmo cuando vemos que «el todo es mucho más que la suma de las partes».
Cuando uno suma en mandamientos, en mitzvot, al mismo tiempo y también se une al Pueblo de Israel y conecta con el legado de nuestro pueblo.
