El 12 de noviembre se llevará a cabo una Asamblea para designar a las nuevas autoridades de la Organización Sionista Argentina.
Mario Sobol y Pablo Soskin, de OSA x MÁS, anunciaron sus candidaturas al igual que Gabriel Gorenstein.
En los últimos días se venía trabajando arduamente en busca de lograr un consenso para formar la nueva comisión directiva, pero durante el martes ocurrió algo totalmente imprevisto: apareció un supuesto comunicado «oficial» de la OSA en el que la institución informaba que Gabriel Gorenstein sería el nuevo presidente. A pesar de que luego fue corregido y desmentido, aclarando que el supuesto comunicado lo había enviado el propio Gorenstein en un primer momento, y luego explicando que fue un error de tipeo, se generó un absoluto malestar.
Vis á Vis dialogó con el presidente de la OSA, Sergio Pikholtz, quien confirmó que «la OSA no emitió ningún comunicado. Cuando queremos decir algo lo firmamos junto con la secretaria general».
«El nuevo presidente o presidenta de la OSA, cuando sea elegido, lo hará por sus méritos y atributos personales. No por publicarlo en un diario», aseguró.

¿Cuándo se realizará el cambio de autoridades en la OSA?
La asamblea está convocada para el 12 de noviembre. No se trata de elecciones sino de designar una nueva Comisión Directiva de consenso, ya que no están permitidas las elecciones por disposición del ente regulador de asociaciones civiles (IGJ).
Hasta que no finalice la emergencia por el COVID-19 entendemos que seguirá igual la normativa

¿Hay posibilidades que continúe esta comisión directiva?
Oportunamente he comunicado que no me presento para un nuevo mandato, de modo tal que la misma comisión directiva no será posible.
No obstante, creo que al margen de mi persona, el equipo de trabajo conformado en cada una de las líneas jerárquicas de la CD es de una calidad muy destacada.
Cada uno de los que ocupan un cargo es merecedor de un nuevo mandato.
De todos modos, si no hay acuerdo convocaremos a elecciones tan pronto las habiliten y seguirá vigente esta comisión directiva hasta materializar los comicios.

En las últimas horas circuló un supuesto comunicado de la OSA en el que se informaba que Gabriel Gorenstein asumía como nuevo presidente, pero luego fue desmentido. ¿Qué pasó?
Por lo que pude ver, un medio comunitario sacó una nota invocando una comunicación de la OSA sobre la conformación de un gobierno de coalición que no incluía a todos los movimientos sionistas.
Luego esa nota fue cambiada por otra que mencionaba al supuesto nuevo presidente como quien había enviado el texto en sus dos versiones.
La versión definitiva, que es la que está subida ahora, ya no dice que existió un comunicado institucional.
Cuando recibimos ese supuesto comunicado oficial nos comunicamos al medio periodístico para decirle que la OSA no había emitido ningún comunicado. A su vez, explicamos que cuando queremos decir algo lo firmamos junto con la secretaria general.
Supongo que el nuevo presidente o presidenta de la OSA, cuando sea elegido, lo hará por sus méritos y atributos personales y no por publicarlo en un diario.

¿Por qué no se llega a un acuerdo?
Porque en esta instancia la OSA tiene 5 candidatos a presidente y cada uno tiene sus adeptos y sus afinidades ideológicas y políticas.
Hace años a nadie le interesaba liderar la OSA, sus problemas y complejidades alejaban a la gente. Sin embargo, ya vemos que ahora es una institución codiciada por la dirigencia comunitaria.
Ninguna otra institución tiene 5 candidatos ni atraviesa una negociación tan apasionada para acordar la formación de una CD. Esto es logro de la comisión directiva que lidero.

Todos hablan muy bien de tus cadencias al frente de la Organización Sionista Argentina. ¿Por qué no continuas?
Porque con dos cadencias hemos cumplido con muchos de los objetivos que nos propusimos al asumir hace cuatro años.
Consideramos que es un buen momento para entregar el mando a un nuevo presidente.
No todos lo recuerdan, pero esta Federación estaba destruida, sin presupuesto ni proyectos.
Hubo dirigentes valiosos que renunciaron y hasta problemas de salud se generaron por el destrato de esa época.
Ahora me sorprendo cuando la antigua conducción habla de poner en marcha la OSA porque hay departamentos que no funcionan.
Insólitamente en una reciente reunión hablaron del departamento de educación cuando hicimos seis seminarios de diplomacia pública y más de un centenar de jóvenes pasaron por clases que lideraron educadores magistrales como Gabriel Ben Tasgal, Jana Beris, Marcelo Kisilevski y George Chaya, entre otros.
Editamos el libro “300 preguntas en 300 palabras”, mitos y realidades sobre el conflicto palestino-israelí, del que repartimos miles de ejemplares en todo el país.
Llevamos a cabo dos ediciones del Jidón Hatzionut para familias. Hicimos un encuentro de comunidades de toda Latinoamérica en conjunto con la Organización Sionista Mundial y brindamos decenas de charlas con disertantes de la talla de Pilar Rahola, Marcelo Birmajer y Bernardo Kliksberg esta misma semana.
Hay oportunidades en que me indigno por esa imposibilidad que tienen algunos de no hacerse cargo y hacer de cuenta que el pasado no existió, pero se me pasa rápido cuando veo todo lo que fuimos capaces de construir, transmitir y educar con la bandera del sionismo arriba de todo. Ahí veo que la tarea está cumplida. Aún más cuando aquéllos directivos destratados que mencioné anteriormente quieren volver a la arena política comunitaria.
Me preguntabas por qué no continúo. La respuesta es porque creo en la alternancia democrática, porque no me gusta la eternización de las personas en los cargos, porque creo en el recambio generacional y porque me esperan muchos objetivos por cumplir y servir a la comunidad.
