Esta mañana partieron a Israel en el vuelo organizado por La Agencia Judía para Israel y el Keren Le Yedidut, junto a casi 80 olim, Ester y León Sznajderowski. Hizo Aliá una parte importante de mi vida

A León, que tiene 78 años, lo conocí en el año 1994, fue cuando me designaron entrenador de la selección juvenil de Faccma. Él ya era delegado. Comenzamos a trabajar con vistas a nuestra primera Macabeada juntos, los panamericanos de Buenos Aires en 1995.

Por diez años consecutivos, con una mínima interrupción en el año 2001, trabajamos juntos con este uruguayo de nacimiento y argentino por elección, con más de 150 chicos, que hoy ya hombres, lo conocieron. No con la profundidad tal vez que lo conocí yo, pero lo conocieron y admiraron. No hay quien no respete y valore al querido «Rey León». Fue el «papá deportivo» de generaciones enteras. Hoy lleva su mochila cargada de hermosos recuerdos a Israel.

También vivimos juntos la Macabeada de Israel 1997 (cuando se cayó el puente y tuvimos que contener a nuestros 20 jugadores allá y sus familias en Argentina, cuando no existían los celulares ni las redes sociales), México 1999 y Panamericanos de Chile en el 2003 e Israel nuevamente en el 2005. Esa fue la última.

León fue la persona más buena, honesta y generosa que yo conocí en la comunidad. Muchos chicos (que hoy deben estar leyendo esta columna lo saben) pudieron viajar gracias a su ayuda. Nunca exigió nada a cambio. Para él siempre fue un orgullo que la delegación esté bien vestida (todos con la misma ropa de calle, aparte de la deportiva, que conseguía él con auspiciantes) y el premio Fair Play era tal vez más importante que la medalla de oro.

León no dudó un segundo cuando nos atacó la epidemia (¡linda palabra en estos tiempos!) de gripe en el Distrito Federal de México, en quedarse toda la noche en las habitaciones de los jugadores con fiebre para ponerle paños de agua fría en su frente y acompañarlos para que no se sientan solos.

Aprendí montones de cosas de la vida al lado de él. Compartimos hermosos momentos familiares, fiestas y también los tristes. En los últimos tiempos no nos veíamos seguido pero si hablábamos mucho por whatsapp. Siempre preguntándome por su querido Ferro.

Como a mucha gente, la Argentina le dio a él y a su familia golpes inesperados, generando inestabilidad económica que lo llevó a vivir momentos difíciles. Su hija Laura junto a su esposo y sus hijos hicieron Aliá. Su hija Silvina con su familia se quedó acá.

Luego de muchos interrogantes, junto a Esther decidieron iniciar los papeles para la Aliá. Este domingo ellos dos serán parte de los casi 80 olim que partieron hacia Israel. Harán el aislamiento obligatorio y luego irán a la ciudad de Kfar Saba donde vive su hija.

Este domingo los despidieron las lágrimas de tristeza de Silvina y el lunes los recibirán las lágrimas de emoción de Laura. Comenzará una nueva etapa en su vida en un país que le dará contención y una increíble calidad de vida «hasta los 120». Israel lo recibirá con los brazos abiertos.

Ayer me despedí yo, fue en una llamada (imposible vernos por los cuidados por la pandemia) y los dos nos emocionamos. Porque en esa llamada se sintetizaron 27 años de verdadera amistad.

León hizo Aliá hoy. Muchos de los que lean esta columna, se están enterando en estos momentos de la noticia de su viaje. A todos le sorprenderá pero recordarán esos inolvidables momentos vividos junto a una gran persona.

Hoy viajó a Israel una parte importante de mi vida. Viajó León. Viajó mi amigo. Y ya lo estoy extrañando.

    Yo en Argentina tengo un departamento de tres ambientes valuado en 130.000 dolares. Si vendo el departamento y me voy a vivir a Israel, con esos 130.000 dolares no me compro ni una cochera. Pasaría de ser propietario en Argentina a ser un pobretón que alquila vivienda en Israel.
    Ademas cobro una jubilacion de 35.000 pesos que no me permite lujos pero puedo vivir con cierta decencia. Si me fuera a vivir a Israel esos 35.000 pesos , serían algo asi como 239 dolares. Con 239 dolares mensuales, en Israel me muero de hambre.
    Yo en Argentina miro la television , escucho la radio, hablo con mis vecinos… todo en Castellano. En Israel , encendería el televisor o la radio y no entendería ni una palabra.
    Y a mis 67 años ni loco me pondría a aprender Hebreo.
    Admiro a quien se decide a ir a vivir a Israel despues de los 60 años. De joven todo es mas facil.
    En mi caso prefiero quedarme en Argentina, a pesar de los antisemitas y el kirchnerismo corrupto que nos gobierna.

    Y respondiendo al señor Alberto Wyman que respondio como si la nota se tratase de convencerlo a el personalmente de hacer Alia, cada uno sabe porque hace o no hace Alia, y no siempre se trata simplemente solo de razones económicas, se trata de buscar un cambio de calidad de vida, de buscar un lugar mas honesto donde vivir, de ofrecer un mejor futuro a nuestros hijos, de creer que se puede vivir mejor y no bajar los brazos mas alla de la edad y escribo esto viendo el mar, mientras comienzo mi primer dia de Bidud, saludos desde Eretz, amigos!

    Casi toda mi familia vive en Israel. De hecho, yo estoy bastante solo aqui en Argentina y viviría mucho mas acompañado en Israel. Pero todo lo que dije en mi comentario es estrictamente razonable y cualquier persona en una situacion parecida a la mía pensaría igual que yo.
    No puedo decir que mejoraría mi nivel de vida si me viera obligado a alquilar un pequeño departamentito de 1 ambiente cuando en Argentina tengo un gran departamento PROPIO de 3 ambientes y balcon terraza.
    En Israel viviría por debajo del umbral de la pobreza, pero en Argentina con mi jubilacion me alimento bien, me atiendo la saluid en el Hospital Italiano -que es muy bueno- y disfruto de espectaculos que puedo comprender porque estan en Castellano.
    Y en cuanto al mar… aqui tambien tenemos…..
