En conmemoración de los sobrevivientes del Holocausto, se llevará a cabo una ceremonia especial en el Museo Casa de los Combatientes del Ghetto cerca de Acre, en el norte de Israel.
La ceremonia va a ser celebrada este año bajo el título de «Últimos sobrevivientes». La misma honrará a los sobrevivientes del Holocausto que hicieron aliá después de perder a sus familias en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Luego, murieron durante una de las campañas militares de Israel durante años.

Tiene 97 años, es sobreviviente del Holocausto y continúa ejerciendo como médico
«La ceremonia reflejará los valores en los que creemos: el espíritu humano, la lucha por la supervivencia y el camino de los sobrevivientes hacia el renacimiento mediante el establecimiento del Estado de Israel», dijo Yigal Cohen, director ejecutivo de Ghetto Fighters House Museum.
«Es por eso que este año, hemos decidido honrar a los sobrevivientes que murieron mientras luchaban en las guerras de Israel sin ningún pariente restante».
Además, el presidente Reuven Rivlin asistirá y dará un discurso.
Después del discurso de Rivlin, se leerá un extracto seleccionado de cartas escritas por adolescentes durante el Holocausto.
Este año, la ceremonia se llevará a cabo el jueves 8 de abril a las 4:45 pm.
