El grupo terrorista palestino Hamás amenazó este miércoles con renovar los intensos ataques contra Israel. Dijo que lo hará si el Estado judío “violenta” la mezquita de Al-Aqsa en el Monte del Templo de Jerusalén.

“Lo que ha sucedido no es más que un simulacro de lo que vendrá si Israel violenta la mezquita de al Aqsa“, dijo el líder de Hamás en Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, días después de que entrara en vigor un alto el fuego, informó Enlace Judío. “La ocupación debe saberlo: al Aqsa tiene hombres que la defenderán”.

Los violentos enfrentamientos entre devotos palestinos y la Policía de Israel en el lugar sagrado de Jerusalén a principios de mayo precedieron los ataques de cohetes de Hamás contra localidades israelíes que inició el conflicto entre Israel y el grupo terrorista.

El líder de Hamás también dijo que agradecería que Israel lo matara en un ataque para eliminarlo personalmente.

“El mayor regalo que Israel puede darme es asesinarme”, dijo. “Prefiero morir mártir de un F-16 que morir de coronavirus u [otra] enfermedad”.

En un discurso, Sinwar también prometió no tocar “un solo centavo” de ayuda internacional para reconstruir Gaza luego de su confrontación con Israel que devastó el enclave palestino. Sinwar prometió una distribución de ayuda “transparente e imparcial”.

Se están realizando esfuerzos diplomáticos para solidificar una frágil tregua negociada por Egipto que detuvo los combates, con planes para reconstruir la Franja de Gaza, donde los ataques aéreos israelíes dañaron la infraestructura y arrasaron edificios.

“Damos la bienvenida a cualquier esfuerzo internacional o árabe para reconstruir la Franja de Gaza“, dijo Sinwar en una conferencia de prensa en la ciudad de Gaza.

“Afirmo nuestro compromiso de no tomar un solo centavo destinado a la reconstrucción y los esfuerzos humanitarios”, dijo. “Nunca hemos tomado un centavo en el pasado”.

Sinwar dijo que Gaza tiene “suficientes recursos financieros… una gran parte de los cuales son de Irán, y que otra parte proviene de donantes árabes y musulmanes y personas libres del mundo que se solidarizan con nuestro pueblo y sus derechos”.

Durante una visita a Israel, el secretario de Estado de EE. UU., Antony Blinken, dijo el miércoles que toda la ayuda sería “administrada de una manera que beneficie al pueblo palestino, no a Hamás“.

Sinwar agregó: “Le digo a Blinken y a todos los demás: basta de jugar con nuestras divisiones internas. Sabemos cómo solucionar nuestros problemas internamente. Basta de cultivar el conflicto interno. Daremos paso a cualquiera que quiera reconstruir Gaza o mejorar la situación económica”.

Un funcionario del Ministerio de Defensa israelí dijo que todos los fondos a Gaza tendrían que fluir a través de un “mecanismo” internacional para llegar a la gente directamente, para evitar que el grupo terrorista reponga su arsenal de cohetes.

El último enfrentamiento militar con Hamás terminó con un alto el fuego la madrugada del viernes.
